The Crown of Shadows in the graphic novels is utterly terrifying. Definitely read the graphic novels if you love this show. If you are lucky, you might be able to get them at your local library. The graphic novels are "hard R" horror for adults, and the TV show I think was trying to capitalize on the success of "Stranger Things" and made it PG-13. They even added a sassy band of teenagers that isn't in the graphic novels.

One of the goofier scenes right up there with that one kids ghost not just waiting by the death door for dodge to come through to steal his body, and the awful showdown with dodge in the key house.

Ellie might actually have brain damage. She makes every possible stupid decision.

I just want to emphasize how stupid it is that she took the key back with her when going to get the crown, they knew that the demon might be there, they knew that the demon can't steal the keys from the Lockes and they knew that's a demon that can't be killed, so why the hell did she take the key and not leave it with the Lockes until she brings back the crown?
