Hello and welcome back to my channel! 👋🏻
I haven't done a ballroom makeup video for ages, but I felt really inspired to share this beautiful black smokey eye with liquid gold ballroom makeup look with you!
This is a twist on the classic Black Smokey Eye ballroom makeup look which is the most sought after ballroom makeup. The Black Smokey Eye look is created using the "reverse blend technique" where we start with the darkest colour blending out to the lightest colour. I then add the most gorgeous flash of liquid gold! the technique I use to create this flash of gold creates a wet-look effect which reminds me of liquid gold which is simply stunning 🤩.
This stunning ballroom makeup up is super sexy, perfect for a night out or a date night as well as looking fabulous on the dance floor!

Why do they style it like that with so much product?
Dancers need for the hair to be secure. They dance at high intensity over many rounds and for many hours. The style has to withstand the dancing and the sweat and last all day. Sometimes a dancer will wear the style for multiple days, therefore it also has to be slept in…hope that helps you understand the need for all the product x

Not all give such a high shine combined with a good strong hold. But a lot is down to the brush and good technique
I tried this out as it was the first video I could really follow, thank you for that! The only problem I have is that after laying down the first wave, my strand of hair suddenly becomes really slim as the strand kind of glues to itself... How do you keep it that broad?
I’m so happy you find the video helpful:) a lot depends on the hair but maybe try a thicker section so change the angle of the hair so it’s more forward - let me know how you get on x

isn't all that product in your hair bad for hair health?
It’s important to look after your hair and make sure you use good quality products and products that help replenish. Also it’s important to use products that protect the hair during styling. If you watch my video on how to wash and care for you hair, I recommend hair masks and leave in conditioners. Finally avoid over-styling the hair when you don’t need to ….give the hair a test….💕

I call it a pin harness. If you watch some of my other videos it shoes it more clearly. It’s an elastin band hooked on a hair pin. The hair pin is pushed through the ponytail and the band wrapped around and hooked on to it. Let me know how you get on x

What Kind of glue do you use for glue the gems to the hair?
Elmers glue
It’s a washable PVA glue
Do you use the hair drier with hot or cold air?
As a general rule cold air with gel otherwise the gel can go gloopy, with hairspray warm air 🙂
