    Very nice build! I built one almost the same. My bio filter is a plastic 55 gal drum. My tank is outside. I have 7 sunfish in there to get the bio going in the filter. In one week tank turned PEA SOUP GREEN. I now put a roof over tank to block the sunlight, thinking that may help. Any thoughts on my build?? I want to keep gizzards in there.

    • @anglersitch
      @anglersitch 6 місяців тому

      Yeah the sun will turn it green like that. The roof should help. Also spray paint the outside of the tank black. You can also add a UV clarifier to get rid of the green water. You’re gonna want to keep that water as cool as possible for shad.

    New subscriber. New to catfishing. We fish the same waters. (Missouri/Mississippi). I’ve had a little bit of success on the top side of Alton. Bait is hit or miss but between harbor and the old lock I tend to find a little bait for the day. The Missouri however is brutal. Never any bait and never hooked into a fish outside of Gar. But determined to keep trying

    • @anglersitch

      Thanks for joining! Yes, finding bait on the Missouri is tough. I started getting bait at other locations and keeping them in my tank. I struggled catching fish in the Missouri for a bit but once I figured it out, it’s been some of the best fishing Iv ever experienced. I just stayed determined like you are doing.
