왜 그런건지는 모르겠지만 체감상 14dbi 패치보다 5dbi 옴니가 대부분 rssi 값이 더 좋게 나오는 경우가 많습니다. 제가 패치 방향을 잘 세팅하지 못하나 봅니다ㅎㅎ 와이파이 모듈이 2개 이상되는 순간 로스트 패킷이 많이 줄어든다고 생각합니다.

그런가봅니다. 멀리보내는 건 살짝 무서워 시도해보지 않았는데 패치 방향으로 멀리 보내면 옴니보다 패치가 더 신호가 좋을 거라고 믿고 있습니다^^

What power is the Vtx transmitting on? What is the range and penetration like compared to Avatar/HD Zero? Could be nice to have an affordable Open Source option!
I'm a just end user, so I don't know much about specific and expert infomation about tx power of dbm, penetrastion compared with Avatar/HD Zero which I don't have. but I felt this openIPC FPV system is even enough to be used for freestyle flight. In my case, the average latency is about 50-80ms and range is 100-200m. some users fly more than several kilometers with high gain antenna. I didn't check longest range for my settings.

I use radxa for recording with playing video on macGS. On the macbook air screen, the latency is about 60-80ms. Most users, who only use radxa, report about 50ms latency.

Oh, welcome to OpenIPC as macbook user👍 firstly, you could install emulated x86 ubuntu server 23.10 on UTM. I use ubuntu server to reduce usage of cpu, memory. ubuntu 24.04 is not compatible with wfb-ng. and install rtl8812au driver and wfb-ng according to github ubuntu quick start guide. github.com/svpcom/wfb-ng when you install and see results of "$wfb-cli gs" on ubuntu-server well, I would guide you next step to multicasting udp packets to macos.

I haven't written on OpenIPC wiki, I would try to write about running pyosd on macos and multicasting udp packets of wfb-ng from virtual machine. and I just realized that arm ubuntu server also could be used for this purpose. so you could x86 or arm or any ubuntu server virtual machine to run wfb-ng. I don't why arm 23.10 is absent recently. x86(amd64) ubutnu-server 23.10 : releases.ubuntu.com/mantic/
is 8812eu2 and 8812au compatible ? or it should be same modules on both ends ?
They are compatible on Air unit and Ground station. So, you could use EU on air unit and AU on GS. I use composit RX with AU, BU, EU on GS. but AU is installed out of box in OpenIPC firmware, otherwise EU is needed to install driver manually.

cool, but what's the point of 4k with low bitrate? 1080p with a high bitrate will be much more detailed than 4k with a low bitrate
thank for your advise. the point of 4K with low bitrate is that OpenIPC UltraSight could encode and record 4K video onboard sdcard directly. I think that this feature shows possibilty of recording high resolution video onboard and sending lower resolution video to groundstation in future. And I have tested OpenIPC cameras with low bitrate 4096 in majestic.yaml. this bitrate shows best stable latency 60-80ms in 720p with my setting. so I tested this bitrate on 2K, 4K, too. I'd likely to test in high bitrate, but I think it would show more latency or gliches on video.

Can you say anything about how you set up the Mavproxy OSD?

What kind of latency can I expect when using 720 120fps with a 60Hz monitor?
I could get stable latency about 80ms(60~100ms) on Macbook air m1 GS and radxa zero 3w with ssc338q cam using 720p90fps 60Hz monitor. some OpenIPC users report even under 50ms with 120fps on 144hz monitor. I didn't see on my own settings.

@@DtheG_FPV 안녕하세요. 아날로그 사용중이다 보니 디지탈이 궁금해서 시도해 보다가 지금은 포기한 상태인데 작은 기체에 얹히고도 잘 나네요. OpenIPC 개발팀에서 작게 개발한 제품은 너무 비싸더라구요. 구입하기도 힘들고... ㅎㅎ 그래가지고야 ELRS처럼 대중화 되기는 힘들어 보이던데... IP카메라 보드는 저렴하긴 한데 너무 덩치가 크니깐 프레임에 장착하기가 곤란해서 이래저래 포기한 상태인데 사진 보니 작은 기체에도 올라가니 신기하네요. ssq338q보드는 레이턴시가 좀 어떤가요?
@jupiterjs031 아무래도 기존 ipcam 2개짜리 보드에 wifi 모듈 합쳐서 AIO로 개발하면서 한정수량으로 만들다보니 가격이 어쩔 수 없는 것 같습니다ㅜㅠ 앞으로 시행착오를 통해서 대중화까지 갈 수 있지 않을까 기대해보고 있습니다. 저는 처음에 pavo pico 카메라를 올렸다가 비행시간이 1분대로 나오길래 pavo20으로 넘어왔습니다. o3 기체보다 좀 더 무겁긴한데 그래도 3분대 비행시간이 나와서 계속 사용해보려고 합니다. 카메라 이름에 오타가 있네요 수정하겠습니다. ssc338q 카메라로 720p90fps에서 60Hz 모니터로 보면 60~80ms 정도의 레이턴시를 보여주는데 100ms을 넘어가는 경우는 별로 없습니다. 이전에 GK7205v200+NVR로 테스트하셨던 것으로 기억하는데, ssc338q+Radxa zero 3w로 테스트해보시면 놀라실 겁니다.

What’s the voltage range of the ssc338q?
the ssc338q could be powered by 12V through default ethernet pin. in this video, my ssc338q is powered by 5V from AIO FC's BEC through ethernet 12v pin. I used 3s lipo battery for powering this FC. refer to the following tutorial page's end part, now I re-soldered 5V cable from FC to 5V cirkit of my ssc338q directly. github.com/OpenIPC/wiki/blob/master/en/fpv-step-by-step-guide.md
