@@ericharris893 OK but I’m glad and bummed at the same time you said that the EFI was way better because I’ve really been wanting to put it on there since I got all the components to make it run. I had a bad ECU and finally came across a good one and what was there hurdle on running if it was warmer out did they just not have the fuel mapping for anything above a certain temperature and that was what was making a run poor?

@ yea. Incapable of tuning itself fully. They run like a dog when it’s warm and whene it’s sub zero, they gall the pistons like if there was water in the gas, leaned out basically. I used to work on all those back whene it was the in machines. If your doing efi, keep everything stock. If your using carbs, dial em in and it will run just as hard as efi but if your going to race, you have to tune for humidity and temperature every time all over again for best performance. Many efi models suffered a lean condition from high load like hill climbing and deep powder. That’s why I would suggest carbs. I used to set em up whene we wanted to delete the efi and proper tuning would suffice so I suggest carbs because you have different load characteristics for your project. I had a94 Indy 650 that was hot and it was really effin hot. With some gears, springs and weights, and a paddle track, it would eat my rxl efi, but stock it would not have. The rxl had better power from takeoff through mid. With the carbs tuned, the Indy 650 had a tad bit better top end so I tuned the clutch and gears to use it. I still have a mint 95 rxl efi and I’ll never sell it. I had a number of storms, both 750 and 800. I had multiple xlts and xcrs, both wedge and evo, and my buddies had all kinds too. Carbs work fine. And stock vs stock, the efi models were faster than carbed. The rxl efi I kept, is pretty fast. Does over 100 and sounds so crispy at 20-25* temps.

@@ericharris893 thanks it’s been a lot of trial and error testing breaking and rebuilding to that point and now that I’ve kind of got it all figured out. I almost want to find another mower to start fresh with between all the trial and errors, welding and grinding. I know that if I had a new one with what I know now it would be way lighter than probably way faster, but maybe one of these days.

most use 4wheeler part to make these . some just use bat sprocket chain for the rear with carry bearings . I made one with a small 4x4 honda 300 . that was really strong . since to my understanding even thou it a Japan made bike . Honda make one if not the the strongest frame built 4wheeler out there . might not look all flashy . might not have the HP as a cam am or a Polaris . but i seen Honda out last it . but to be Frank i never liked the belt drive system . you brake a belt you can be stranded . an them two kinda like to snap axels alot of the time

@@frankiemabry1726 with this one I used a 4 Wheeler front dif and axles. The hard part was going from the jack shaft underneath the mower to the front differential. I had to make a little transfer case which I have a video somewhere building it out of a set of spider gears and old components out of a rear end welding it all up and it transfers power from the chain drive to the Drive Shaft pretty neat, but there’s some other ideas I’ve had with using to lawnmower transmissions and then just gearing those to make it a little quicker and then I just have to build a CV shaft style system in the front so I can steer it’s just having time to do everything but let me know if you got any questions or if there’s anything you want me to try to make a video and get a close-up shot of it

I have a duck I had to modify so it would fit, but it can be put on and still cut grass. I just don’t have it on when I’m racing it around and running it real hard kind of thing.

what kind of mower and power plant does it have?

@jakesautofabrication no mower on it and I believe he has some sort of v twin motorcycle motor on it.

lol a few people have asked that now and if I was to sell something like that I would just build a new one fresh with some updates and non of the flaws I found with this one.

God hands us all challenges if he didn’t we would all be weak one of those in the wrong spot at the wrong time.

That one is a 2000 or 2001 craftsman LTD 1000 or something. I think they call it. I’ve made five or six pretty quick lawnmowers back in the day and out of craftsman Husqvarna John Deere sears Massey Ferguson case simplicity I have the best luck with the craftsman around that year to new and they are more plastic and real thin too old there really heavy and not reinforced in the right spots pretty much if you find something that’s got a decent amount of metal around it and the steering in the front of my mower is out of a 4 Wheeler the rear axles is out of a four a wheeler but let me know if you have any questions or anything?

I have some ideas not set in stone, but something may happen in the future. What motor were you gonna run That’s around 180HP?

@ CAN-AM 2012-2023 RENEGADE 1000 ENGINE is the one I’m running rn but with the turbo and a little nos it pushes 180hp

I’m not in Michigan sadly but I’m in Utah and my mower just needs the oil hose for the turbo and I’m all set :p

That thing should be pretty sweet. Do you have a channel and doors? Is there anyway to check it out or show me pictures or anything of it and if not, hopefully you get something when you go to test it cause I’d love to see that.

@@mikeseguin9591 thanks hoping to get to test it some before it snows and hoping the lakes freeze this winter to be able to run the studded tires on the ice!

And I don’t remember if I made a full video on that I think I did three or so shorts from one to three on the build. Let me know if you want me to do like a good walk around and explain and try to show a little bit more of the fabrication on it or something I could do that for you?

Kind of here and there I didn’t have a lot of good stuff to be able to record or edit it and didn’t know I was gonna start a UA-cam channel or I would’ve documented it better but I have some things here and there or at least I had torn apart and redid something and you can kind of see how it goes together I believe

Yeah, it’s geared for the 16 inch tires in the front and I’m running 20 inch tires in the rear and just when I was figuring out the gearing if you were off everything would bind up and it wouldn’t even wanna roll or move but so far so good
