Just two questions What would be the ideal wheel placement and or hardness for a roller goalie? Also when I played in high school I noticed a lot of players had only a back wheeel and front wheel- was there any reason for this other than their parents being cheap or for style? I’m about to try this out on my extra pair of skates and see how they do. They are for ball hockey goalie

Thank you SO much for this video! I've recently picked up roller skating and had been having issues with lace bite, which is very annoying as it cuts down on practice time. I switched to this lacing method, after practicing and my feet were already feeling sore, and IMMEDIATELY felt the difference! I was able to get right back up and practice more without the lace bite. AWESOME!

i just got my 72mm wheels and tested 72-76-80-76 and damn in balance there is no difference but in turning a huge this is so nice, i main ice skating normally

If my frames say they run a 80-76-76-72, will they still handle any variety of rocker setups? They’re vectors, but I’m not sure I’m the wheel center point placement is flush across the frame.

Man this hurts so bad to find out now. I had no clue what lace bite was growing up. I just knew it hurt like he'll so I took the pads from my mom's bras, wore double socks and put on numbing cream. Nothing ever worked to the point I would be playing games screaming internally but just dealing with it. It got so bad my ankles stole up and I now gave permanent bruising on my ankles right in front. Hell my doctors didn't know what was wrong and suggested my body couldn't handle skating so I had to stop playing hockey. Finding out now it was just lace bite I feel dumb but oh well i guess it just wasn't meant to be.

Excellent insight and advice! I changed my lacing method based on your recommendation, and it helped significantly. I ref 4-5 times a week and could not stand pain from lace bite. I am now able to ref an entire week without having to put my feet in epsom salt water after each shift. Thanks!

That frame is different for a normal frame. It’s already asymmetrical. Hi-Lo. (80mm 80mm 76mm 76mm) So it’s different from a normal flat frame.

ATF fluid is one messy way to clean bearings. Isopropyl alcohol + speed cream is way easier to use with little to no residue.

one question, my nephew is 6 years old and we are applying the same procedure, but in his skates is one hole less what means the last hole is not free for movement. That is correct? if not what would be the correct way to do it.Thank you.

When I was younger I had a pair of Koho skates, and I loved a 76/80/80/76 setup. I absolutely can’t skate with all four wheels in contact with the surface at the same time. Feels like I’m on skis.
