Review of Seydel Deluxe Steel six months after purchase
I have played this harmonica for more than six months and feel like I have reached a point where I can confidently describe the quality and worth of cost. This is not the cheapest chromatic harmonica, but also far from the most expensive. In my opinion it has proven to return in amplitude on the cost of purchase. it has grown into becoming my favorite chromatic harmonica. Well done Seydel!

Good video !!! ❤
I think this is how the olds played before. Fantastic
Como puedo comprar esa kongsheng
Your playing is fantastic. Can you give tablature?
this is playable with an harmonic minor armonica? like the one lee oskar sells? thank you
Love this tune. What kind of harp are you playing and what key? If you dont mind
fajna melodia👌👍❤
cool rhythms👏
excellent👍👍👍👍👍👏❤
Very nice! I enjoyed thoroughly!
Bravo.Very nice.
What key? Thanks. Love these tunes
Thanks! The key is C 🌞
What's the tyk tuk sound with slider in forerunner
With the Seydel Chromatic De Luxe Low C, however, I had a terrible time; after a week of use I forgot several reeds. They replaced it for me but after a while it too lost its pitch! 🤗👋
That's terrible! I am sorry to hear your experience was not good. I generally like Seydel a lot but have been lucky with my harps.
Hi Per Stian, personally I prefer the Hohner Toots Hard Bopper for the 12 holes while for the 16 holes the Suzuki SCX-64; I prefer them for the sound, the fluid and silent slide mechanics. The Suzuki is also easy to disassemble and clean. The reeds are incredibly in tune even after 8 years of use! 😊👋👋👋
Hohner Mellow tone was my first chromatic! They are very good. Timeless design 🌞
Ma suona benissimo!! Che meraviglia!
Interesting but I as an absolute novice am still confused. I play a D G melodeon, but now I want something light and portable that I can play the same tunes on, just for my own amusement. I have a Diatonic but would love Tremelo. What key do I need to buy? Would that be D? Where to purchase, don't want to spend too much 😊
I would love to try a melodeon one day! They look very cool 😎 To be able to play tunes in both D and G you would need two tremolos. The difference between these two keys are also pretty significant. G is very low and sounds super nice, but can be challenging to play. D is very high and can be harsh on the ears. I would personally go for one in G and just play the D tunes on this one as well. I recommend Seydel Sailor, or go for an octave harmonica like the Seydel Concerto Steel (probably better in D since the extra octave is lower).
Dečkić jede i uživa pažljivo sluđajući.
Video muy interesante Gracias. Una pregunta. Llevan tornillos en las placas de lengüetas ? Las dos o cuál lleva tornillos para poder desmontar completamente ?
Gracias! Los dos tienen tornillos en las placas 🌞
The jdr trochilus is available in solo tuning and is far, far better than this, and better than the easttop valveless harps in my opinion. It is more expensive though.
It's significantly more expensive. I haven't tried one yet, but would love to! Don't really see the need for one personally though.
@@woelneberg yeah, for someone with as many harmonicas as you already have, you probably wouldn't need it. But for a diatonic player looking to crossover into the solo tuning/chromatic world, the trochilus solo tuned is the best option in my opinion. It's just so nice to not have to worry about valves
@bilbowaggins3036 Yeah I agree. I already got several 10 hole Chromatic with and without valves, so while the design is cool it doesn't really offer anything new. I probably will get it anyway. It would not be the first time I buy a harmonica I don't really need 🤣
Good job
Lyder godt ven, tak for tabs i diskriptionen
Sounds beautiful
Which do you prefer? The new super 64 or the meisterklasse?
The Meisterklasse is by all measures a better harmonica! It feels solid in the hand. One of the things that put me off about the Super 64 was that it felt fragile. Like it would break from a drop. I never drop my harmonicas, but I still feel safer with a solid build. Seydel are excellent in this matter, Hohner not so much. But the Meisterklasse is a solid build, it feels on the level of Seydel in terms of ergonomics and quality materials. The sound and response? The Meisterklasse is superior, but I bought mine from a customiser. I only asked for very basic reed work, basically a second QT. The Meisterklasse is incredibly sweet and responsive to play.
@@woelneberg great info! I’ve been playing on the super 64 for a bit and was looking for something a bit higher quality. I just put in an order for the meisterklasse chromatic and a set of diatonics. I’d been rolling the idea of upgrading from pearwood to aluminum combs for a while
He kjøpt meg munnspill, Cascha Chromatic 10-40.
The magnetic attachment is ingenious and functional, thanks for sharing. I want to give you a tip for the next videos you make: you need to disable image flipping in the camera settings; otherwise the writing that appears in your videos will be illegible. I hope this was helpful to you, bye! 😊❤
thanks! That's a good advice, I always forget to flip it around. I wish it could be unfliped as a standard!
Lepo kolega.Pozdrav za Norvešku.
Were you chucking the whole time
Bravo za vas.Teško je svirati dva instrumenta u isto vreme.
Beautiful! So a litle harmonica
It plays in tune all the way up the neck , thats good for an acoustic that’s inexpensive
It keeps impresing me, such a good guitar!
Dette var helt nydelig, kan du Lage en tutorial video?
Jepp skal få gjort det innen neste 17. Mai 🌞
I love you! Can you do more of Snufkin with tabs please? I'm currently trekking alone and sleeping under the stars. I need some more repertoire and I cannot figure out the other songs myself
How can I turn down such a request? Thank you!
Beautifully played dear : which country you belongs👏👏👏👏👍🌹
thank you! I am from Norway. Where are you from?
That's really cool
Hva heter munnspillet du bruker? Og hvilken moll?
What song is this? I wanna learn it too haha for now i'll just commit to listening to this til i can recall it by heart. Do you have any other songs that can be played with the tremolo? ❤❤❤❤
This is 'Idas sommervise'. It's from one of the movies made from Astrid Lindgrens books. Another tune from another movie by one of her books is the theme song from Emil in Lønneberget. Great song for tremomo😊
I've got the Easttop equivalent - and I think it's a much better instrument. I gave away my swan harps....
Fascinating - as I'm considering one of these devices! It was just disconcerting to see your video flipped horizontaly - as shown by the manufacturers names being 'back-to-front'!
Okay, if only they had it C4-D7 like a standard 12-hold.
Where i can get these harmonica???
You can buy them from Andre Coehlo 😎
Yes pleassse !
Hello fella, how many holes is your harmonica?
Fett, kjøpte munnspill i går og ligger allerede i hengekøya og spiller Reodors vise 😃takk 💪
Herlig!
It's a CX12 copy. Plain and simple. Not saying its a bad thing. Or a good thing. When you copy something you want it to have some differences, to protect yourself from copyright related legal issues - and so there are subtle changes. It's a CX12 made on a tighter budget.
I bought myself a super chromonica 270 with 48 reeds, that thing is simply unplayable, reeds that constantly get stuck and windsavers that constantly stick, cold or warm makes no difference, and certainly in the two highest octaves it is not at all to do it, you have to suck and blow your lungs to pieces to get anything out and I'm sure it has nothing to do with my technique, I don't understand why this instrument gets good reviews on youtube and the internet in general. You are almost obliged to have it adjusted by a customizer.
Did you get the Deluxe version or the regular one? Was it new or second hand?
@@woelneberg the regular one
and you bought it new from store? That doesn't sound right, you might have gotten a bad apple?
@@woelneberg Yes, I bought them new from music store in Germany, and I have already bought a lot of bad apples, including diatonic ones. Honhner no longer has anything to do with Germany, but everything to do with mass production in Asia.
That's a shame! Hohner is usually quite good at QC. I only ever once got a faulty harmonica from them. It was a Super 64 Performance with a broken valve on arrival. I offered to replace it myself but they gave me a new harmonica the same day. While Hohner is no longer a fully German company they still operate in Germany. Administration and production is still fully german except from their very cheapest harmonicas. I believe the 270 is still completely made in Germany, but the design with the wooden comb and nails is a very poor design, but kept a live for what I believe must be nostalgic reasons? Do you have any experience with Seydel? They are the last 100% German harmonica company. Their customer service is amazing, they are very available for answering questions and follows up their products. Out of all the brands I feel Seydel by far has the most solid construction and design in terms of ergonomics and materials. Every harmonica just feels solid in the hand!
