Welcome to my channel.
I have been documenting my journey in building my own home gym and also improving myself over the last year on UA-cam. I document my workouts and post them here to share as I also use it to log all my lifts and review the previous weeks workout. Bodybuilding can be boring and I believe in progressive overload so I will always try and better my top set from the previous week.
I occasionally change up my routine depending if I feel it’s no longer making me feel excited to workout or I hit a wall in progression. I tend to stick with heavy basic movements and have learned how to count macros. My carb sources are breads, bagels and oats. My protein source is eggs, chicken, beef and whey. My fats are extra virgin olive oil, peanut butter and butter. I eat tomatoes, lettuce and cucumber on low to zero carb meals.

guys honest build your home gym its 110% worth it, sadly i cannot do heady squats and deadlifts due to back injury but i got a multi station and work around doing goblet squats, db squats and kettlebell deadlifts with high reps, legs look amazing. I been training since i was 13 am now 52 still train 6 days per week, my last gym membership was in 2014 been training at home since.
Agreed!! One of the best decisions I made as a younger man that I’m benefiting from now.

For some reason the new Powertec preacher doesn't have the neutral grip option
I’ve seen they don’t have that option any more. I have to say though that row is so hard actually. Prob why it stopped because it’s difficult but I like it 💪

I wasn’t a huge fan of the handle for biceps either. It would aggravate my tennis elbow something awful.

Yeah excellent!! Feel it right it the lat and the strength is pretty good. Sometimes with dumbbell rows I don’t feel it in my lat so it’s a good alternative.

Thanks bro, the leg press is good and once you make the hacks it’s pretty solid. I’d say I prefer it to proper gym machines and it is damn heavy. If you could I’d look at primal strengths leg press hack squat. My rack is from there and all there kit looks solid.

2:29 does this really work your back that well? You have a crazy crazy amount of weight on but your range of movement seems like half what it should be for a row.. Am I mistaken? Is this really how you do it?
Yo dude, it’s a Yates style row where you keep the body more upright to protect the lower back. I’m rowing right into my waste and touching my belt to gauge my ROM. I’m a fan of the movement but everyone can have a preference on what they like and don’t like. Check out Dorian Yates and how he did rows. His back was huge 💪

Any advice on progressing this lift? Ive been stuck at 2 plates per side for 5 reps for about 3 months now
Hey, my own approach is either to gain a rep or a small increment in weight. If you have 1.25kg plates I would add them and match for 5 reps and you have made progress. Sometimes it’s even a teeth grinding attempt at pushing for that new rep with the same weight.
Also nothing wasted with that session. Everything well thought out, brief, intense, hitting each area with emphasis
