Guys, if you’re looking for something good to read, I recommend 'Athena's General Reincarnated in Another World.' It tells the story of a General who became a God after defeating the entire Greek Olympus by eliminating his arch-nemesis, the goddess Athena. After becoming the Sovereign God, he decides to die as a human. Upon his death, the entity Charon sends him to another world filled with magic. In this world, he has everything he always wanted (family and friends). However, this world is at war, and his people are threatened. Now he must use his skills from the other world and the magic of this one. What’s cool about this story is that it features magical creatures, relics, ocular powers, and the interesting twist is that the Goddess Athena (his arch-nemesis) haunts him as a ghost.

Imo White/Shiro/Kumoko is probably a wasted potential of a great character, the lvls she reached, the scope she encompass, the motivation she had and the stakes on the line are being challenged/compared against of one trashiest hero written. Story's world building was ok but the scope of potential world building author teased was also wasted potential, should've stepped up the challenges. Honestly, character writing of Shiro, Demon lord, Sophia and Oni Boy (and sensei) was one of the best and overshadowed rest of the casts, made hero's faction looks trash.. I mean, how can you pit some of the best written characters against characters with practically cardboard development.? That's why I think Shiro's faction is wasted potential. Plus the overly generic plot and world building. Remove Shiro and her faction from story, it'll be unreadable fiction. I'm not a hater but just disappointed, it was supposed to be one of my very first time LNs and I fell in love with Shiro and her faction.

Watched this to narrow down what to read after Ascendance of a Bookworm just ended. Still not sure what I'm going to read next - nothing will ever compare to that series - but I will sub because you are clearly a man of taste as well. ✊🏻

I'm currently on volume 1 of the novel, but I already have 23/26 volumes on my book shelf lol I just finished the second season of the anime and I have some spoilers of the light novel, but only some "obvious" spoilers, but I'm excited to start the story from the beginning by reading the novel. Fun fact: English is not even my mother language (i'm from Brasil) and this is my first time reading an entire book in English, that's how much this story captivated me. I also have almost all the volumes of the manga that have been released, I want to enjoy this journey in all available media.

Mob isekai is just another one of the generic haram anime with tropes like " MC op", "misunderstandings always happening", "mc saving the girl at the very last moment" type shit. I'm like 5 volumes in (out of 10) because I really wanted to give this a chance, but in the end this story just pisses me off more than giving me enjoyment.

Second comment but just to say, you were right the first time when saying “sound design _or_ OST”, they’re actually very much not the same thing OST is all the original music to the show, sound design is basically eeeeeverything else which is original audio, which is for the most part sound effects for anything from the sound Madoka’s duvet makes, to the sound of Homura rewinding time, and everything in between

Even tho I’m incredibly late I’m gonna give my opinion about what Homura did at the end. As stated by different comments the main reason Homura did what she did was because she realized at the end of the serie she was right, that was a fate worse than death. That is also the moment when Homuraks views of goddess Madoka get shattered. This is a portrayed in the scene in which Homura is clinging to Madokami’s mural as it is falling apart (as contrast to how it was stable before the flower field scene) while the Clara dolls (Homuraks subconscious and emotions) repeat the phrase “got ist tot”. This is a reference to a chapter in “the gay science” by Nietzsche, that (I may be wrong) basically talks about how when the idea of a God is destroyed so is everything related to it and the world made by said God. In this scene, after Madoka tells her her true feelings (it was confirmed by the author those were her true feelings) Homuraks realizes Madoka is NOT a goddess, she’s the same 1r year old girl that loved her life before she had to commit a sacrifice for the sake of the world. With this realization, Homuraks views on the world and the worth of saving and protecting it become vain to her. . This is took up again before Homura and Madoka beat Homulilly, when Homura says she “won’t hesitate anymore”, which is something she beats herself for doing when Madoka made a wish in the series. Homura’s reasons are once again taken up again in her voice lines in the magic record game. (English isn’t my first language and I can’t see what I’m typing so sorry if something doesn’t make sense)

Tbh the only people that are hating on Bonney using her fruits ability to become Nika are the same people who hated on Gear 5 Luffy

The thing that bother me about the ending in TR was kisaki end being happy and part of the group coz dude didn’t show any redeeming qualities and in fact all the different scenarios he was the cause of it all. Him getting hit by the truck was a much more satisfying ending for all of the bad karma he did. I don’t think he genuinely cares for anyone just the obsession over Mikey,Hina, and Toman

I just finished watching Reborn as a Vending Machine anime for a video I'm making. I liked it so much that now I'm reading the first novel. So far the worst part was the prologue. Seriously, it does the disservice to the rest of the book.

I totally agree that the Danmachi LN is far better than the anime. It's both better and quite a lot more content (esp. side stories).

The reason why people shit on Tokyo Revengers (what I think...): 1. The MC Takemichi Hanagaki is a crybaby (even worse than Deku and Deku's not that bad in my opinion). Although people/fans inside and outside Japan who have read/watched TokRev anime/manga don't like it because of the MC. They like it because of the amazing and iconic side characters. Like the MC isn't even in the top 5 position in the popularity poll but still you know, he's the MC and it's his story so you need to endure him even if you don't want to. 2. After season 1, they changed the streaming platform from Cruchyroll to Disney Plus, so many people didn't watch the anime after season 1. 3. The animation isn't that great. It's not that bad, but it's not that good either like how in this season CloverWork beautifully animated Wind Breaker (another delinquent anime/manga), and the fight choreography looks absolutely stunning. But that's not the case for TokRev and for that, a lot of people complain about the anime. 4. And for the manga readers, their complaint is about the ending of TokRev and how it was written. The final arc was a bit rushed and half-assed and that's about it. Contents before the final arc are actually pretty good btw. 5. Also people compare TokRev with Wind Breaker a lot, saying that Wind Breaker is better than TokRev. For those people, I wanna say that the mangaka of Wind Breaker Satoru-Nii is a massive fan of TokRev and its mangaka Ken Wakui. In fact, TokRev is the reason why he started writing Wind Breaker in the first place since TokRev inspired him. He even draws TokRev character fanarts and posts them on his official Twitter account. So stop shitting on TokRev cause in that way you're also shitting on Satoru-Nii's favorite series as well who started writing Wind Breaker after he got inspiration from TokRev.
