    • @EasyLifeES
      @EasyLifeES 3 дні тому

      The forefoot stack in not bad by any means (only very few had it this good so far, that is why I did recommend to you), I only wish it had it closer to the one from the heel only because it will be a better position for the foot. Will more healthy having less drop for the feet, less fatigue after longer periods of use (IMHO). I'm glad that you like them. None of them are perfect. Usually is a long search for me to find something closer to my needs. The ones that I really like it I'm trying to point out and maybe someone else will like them too.

      Hard to say, because I didn't had them long enough. And never ended buying them although I did think it to do it for few times since I try it them. But with the thickness and rigidity of the outsole is less prone to happen from my experience.

      Pureboost 22 is something that I REALLY DON'T recommend. Except maybe of the visual effect of the reflective materials they are little bit more like a prank. Adidas Response and Adidas Questar 2 are very good sneakers in comparison with most of the models checked on this channel this year. Now "Response" or "Questar 2"?! It's up to you, Response has full rubber outsole and Questar 2 slightly more cushioning with incomplete outsole.

      I wish I knew. Few months for sure. Every episode takes 2-3 weeks or so. Sometimes less when I manage to find more spare time than I was expecting to have. Obviously I don't do this for living (just a hobby for now). If the public will decide to continue supporting this channel in the future too and help it to grow, maybe at some point it will grow enough to be in the situation to dedicated my whole time to the channel and this way to publish much more often new content. It will be awesome to be able to do exactly what I love most: Videography, sport and getting done some content that people can find it really useful. I hate watching reviews and to end up buying something that is not worthy just because I've seen "a hidden commercial kind of video" because someone is thinking ONLY for his own interests and the rest of us we are simply some ants that are working for his well being. THAT is sad for ME...

      Hi there, These sneakers are shorter than most that I've tried, so sizing up for me was a must. My problem was the front end of the shoe that was still gaved me some pressure points over my toes (not enough tall for the big toe that upper). They have OK cushioning, but the comfort for ME is not there... I prefer it to skip it, although I thought they are good looking. They are other sneakers on the market that have both cushioning & a decent comfort.

      In ads everything looks nice. Usually a very attractive person (no matter the gender) that uses very happy some equipment from a very well known brand and everything looks like cutting age new technology. But then we place the order, arrives and... hm... wow... And also "the newer trend" with big stack on the heels and... I don't know... something... in front... because the upper "needs it"... to be attached somehow to that very poor partial rubber outsole. I don't know WHO are the ones that are designing these new shoes, but man... they should definitely have a talk with some podiatrist before making "a new innovative next gen pair of sneakers" because these ones are quite something... It seems that all they want for us is that we should ALL wear some high heels in running sneakers... that will solve any problem for us in running Is just pathetic. I miss having a positive feedback after checking something new. The problem is that are making all the new footwear (or 99.9% of it) only with the idea in their mind of "reducing the budget" as much as they can, but to look "cool" if possible in order to keep selling them. Meanwhile they have to find people that are willing to swear that are better than before and this is what WE need. And they find those such people without too much effort really. Apparently, anyone or most of them that is receiving few pairs for free won't have anything against to say few nice words about that product (is that simple). It happens with almost everything... if is FREE (of course). That's WHY the quality can go down this much and still sell something, they only need "the right people" for the JOB. Because these days all us are watching videos/TV before buying something new (most of the time, if not ALL the time). Is just sad. I will try to continue and show up with these "episodes" every time I can and show them with "all the good and all the bad" that they have (for ME)... Thank you for not missing them!

    Lots of detail here. The outsole started peeling off of my Pegasus 33s after far less use than my Winflo 5s, which is also coming unstuck, so although I need walking shoes, I've been wary to purchase ever since.

      I tend to avoid everytime I can sneakers that are having the rubber outsole "scattered" in many pieces, because those usually are more likely to fall than just 1 full rubber outsole. The biggest challenge these days remains to "find them" with such kind of outsoles. My relative recent find was Adidas Response (Ep142) that were a very nice "surprise" for ME. I mean something that is so NORMAL they made it to be something so rare these days to find. If you want, give those a try (maybe in a physical store first) and I believe you might like them. Be sure to be Adidas Response (NOT Response Super that are very similar except the outsole).

    • @EasyLifeES
      @EasyLifeES 20 днів тому

      As a daily trainer they might be a bit fragile. Maybe used a bunch of them in rotation could do that job well. But just one pair I can't say how they will hold over time. Also that partial rubber outsole can be a problem for intensive use (it will get poked with something and that can be a handicap while running). Something like Adidas Response (Ep142) could be a much better choice for a better durability, more cushioning for the joints.. although is a bit firmer (the stack still helps) and a real outsole although isn't as tick as I wish to be. For ME they are an easier recommendation for most of the people.

      😊 Ridiculous IS to see over 40mm of stack in exterior (on the heels at least) and the internal stack doesn't have over 22mm... What exactly we buy then ? (I suggest you to check in "runrepeat" webpage how the midsole interior looks actually, maybe you will understand better my point of view) In forefoot is even half of value found on the heels! How can someone be OK with "that" ?! BTW, who said that sneakers should have big stacks than this to make someone taller?!? Because I know that I never said it in any of my videos and I never recommended to use them for "that". For me running sneakers have only 1 purpose and that one has nothing to do with the height of people. Is normal to expect good cushioning when we see very generous midsoles, and more so when it has BOOST foam in them ! I don't see anything wrong in that! I believe you completely misunderstood the point of my videos and get it wrong conclusions that has nothing to do with my REAL way of thinking. I remember more than once when people asked me if a pair of running sneakers can make them look taller and told them that is NOT for what they were made. I even suggested to drop of the idea that they should be taller or not. For me cushioning in sneakers is a must, considering that I have plantar fasciitis...

      @@patricio3841 I also prefer the look of "classic" Ultraboost models over the ones seen in the past 3-4 years. I repeat it in many of my videos. The new UB they aren't the ones that I use to wait outside the store till they open just to get my "new pair" (like I use to do it years ago). My only complain with the UB was that the stack in forefoot is way too thin in comparison with the one from the heels and that creates a big drop that can create discomfort in longer periods of use. Normal will be to have a drop equal or smaller than 5 mm in order to have a decent comfort and a real cushioning effect (best for me will be "0"mm). A shoe with good cushioning should have in between 20-30 mm Front + Back (and the stack obviously to be equal). Maybe is special occasions a max of 35 mm (but I don't really think that is needed that much if the foam is responsive enough). Over these values is a bit unnecessary, kinda overkill.

    Thank you for all your videos. I have never seen such a detailed analysis. Love it! I looked at a couple of them and realized that you use a slightly larger running size. I'm new here and wanted to ask your opinion about right sizing. My left leg has length - 26,6 cm; right - 26,8 cm; I bought different sizes and saw that 28 cm sole is to long, and 27,5 is to short. The leg is neither there nor here. What to do in this case and how to be? Maybe I should look in the direction of narrow sneakers, which will hold the leg better and will have a 28 cm insole. What do you recommend and what brends do you know that make narrow running shoes? Thanks for the tips.

    • @EasyLifeES
      @EasyLifeES 23 дні тому

      Hi there, Let's take it step by step with this reply. "I looked at a couple of them and realized that you use a slightly larger running size." - My feet have in between 25.7 - 25.9cm, BUT depending the hour of the day they can go up to 26.3 - 26.5cm. For my feet the insole usually have in between 26.7 up to 27.2 cm (in some rare occasions they had 26.5 and still not be too small, but that is not happening too often). For me "the free space" (in length) inside of the sneaker to have a decent comfort should be around 2 - 2.5cm (spme will give me that but won't be able to secure my feet well with the lacing system and then the solution is to SKIP IT that model, Asics Nimbus 25 was one that was in that situation). Back on sizing, is very important "when" we measure our feet. Idle will be after 8 PM or after a long shift at work, because we want to see how much they have when they are exercising (or under stress), then is when are starting to swell and in order to keep the right comfort for our feet we need the right sizing for them. I.E: When we take a long flight it happens the same they are much bigger in size once we arrive home, or a long drive and we go to the beach and we can physically see our feet in sand much bigger than in day to day life (same think there). "I looked at a couple of them and realized that you use a slightly larger running size." - I normally don't pay too much attention of the sizing as the brands are describing in their "size guide". And I will explain why. I normally only care IF they are in my size ES 41 or US 8 because that is my correct size in footwear. The size guides are a bit irrelevant because every model is different and it will be like comparing apples with peaches with watermelons. As long the shape is really different from one shoe to other, I can't use that as a "correct info". Some will be too wide other too narrow, others made for flat feet, others for high arch and so on. People will write comments and some of them will make us more confused than before, because some pages don't allow to specify the age that is sooo important. Someone over 55-60 years old will not have the feet as other that are under 30's. Elderly will have them usually wider than before. Because of "that" they will say that are too narrow (for them) and they will recommend sizing up. I.E: My mom always was a Size 36, very small and supple feet... nowadays she has to go +0.5 just because she has wider feet than before (because of the age). The feet aren't larger in length, but are wider so she is obligated to go size up even that is NOT the right solution (because she will have a bigger footwear that will give to much space in length). Not every model will offer "more widths options" (some are in Narrow, Normal, Large, Xlarge etc) and people will want to size up in order to have a chance to wear those shoes. Sometimes I receive it questions from people asking me if they should go size up or size down because they are too narrow or too wide, and sometimes going up or down is a solution and other times SKIP IT the model will be the REAL solution. I know one thing... they are plenty models to choose in the market right now and I'm not forced to buy something that is not made well for my feet. Of course NOT everything will fit me well and I'm OK with that. IF I'm not convinced with the comfort that I get... thank you... NEXT please... and so on. Adidas runs "usually" slightly narrower than other brands, NB & Asics is more roomy in toebox (and I do prefer them for my feet), Nike has a correct width, but sometimes can be slightly narrower. Nothing is an absolute truth, but we HAVE TO check as many pairs as we can (and no matter the brand) in order to find "the right one" and SKIP the ones that are the best fit for us. Are much more things to say about footwear and sizing but in other occasions. I'm not sure how much this comment will help you, but hopefully it will be useful in some ways!

      @@xlista1543 "Yes, I understand that it's normal to wear sneakers one size larger (if we taking into account all the parameters)." - I don't think I have a size larger than I should have! IF you ask a podiatrist will tell you that you should use a Brannock device or even more simply... use the rule of thumb. Add a thumb in between your heel and the end of the back of the shoe OR while the feet is aligned with the back of the heel put the big thumb in front of the sneakers and should be enough space to stay in between the bigger toe and the front end of the sneaker). It should be around 2 - 2.5 cm or almost 1" of free space, while the lacing system should be able to secure well the shoe in your feet. If that is not "happening"... see other models...brands... etc. not all of them are well made in that regard for all kinds of feet (flat feet or with arch), although they should be... "Then, what if a person chooses to run in the morning, when the leg is not yet swollen? " - When you run it doesn't matter IMO. The feet while exercising will swollen eventually (we like it or not, sometimes will be more... other time will be less). I prefer to run in the evening or at night, but that is just MY preference, I like it when is more quiet outside, less traffic etc. "Do you need to lace your sneakers tightly so they don't fall off? " - Is important to have them well secured in your feet BUT without creating unnecessary pressure points (too tight can be a bigger problem for the blood pressure, than an undone laces while running). Especially on the instep area, that quickly can create big discomfort. They are special knots to avoid undone the laces while running. One of the most popular is "runner knot", but they are more of them (here is something more personal so it will be your choice which one is best for you). I hope this reply is useful to you!

    Love your reviews. I hope you can solve my dilemma. I am stuck choosing between the Response or Galaxy 6. Currently I use the Puma Cell Fraction Fade and I love the pair and also love quite a bit of cushioning and paddding inside the shoe. Can you suggest which one should I go for?

    • @EasyLifeES
      @EasyLifeES 23 дні тому

      Hi there, Thank you for your appreciation! About Adidas Response vs Galaxy 6. There is NO contest, really (in this case). The level of cushioning of Galaxy 6 doesn't get close to the one from Response simply because the stack is too different. Response has quite a bit more (front & back) and we can feel it instantly. It might not be plush as in New Balance Fresh Foam or Nike Zoom, but because of the stack they can still offer a decent amount of cushioning under the feet. They are not perfect by no means, but for the price they are "a nice rarity" by today industry's standards. Adidas Response were a pair of sneakers that I honestly was considering to keep while filming. Because 90% of them I don't even contemplate to keep them thinking that they don't really worth the money. Maybe at some point with "the right discount" I might get a pair for myself, will see. Normally the problem for me is the space... how much of that I want to sacrifice in my home only for my footwear. :)

Have you ever tried to store somewhere more than 100 boxes of shoes in one room (no matter the kind of them) ? Because I DID, and it's pure madness. The sneakers seen on the channel aren't the only footwear that is in my home. And not everything that is my wardrobe is on the channel either. Also I don't live alone, SHE also has a good amount of them. After the first year of the channel I simply run out of space. And I won't transform my home in a warehouse just because are people that won't think enough how is for someone to have a channel dedicated to footwear. I like clean spaces and a warehouse in my home is NOT a solution for my life. At the end of the day this channel is just a hobby and nothing else.

      @EasyLifeES 27 днів тому

      I wouldn't worry too much just by checking the size guide that is on their webpage. Those values aren't always accurate and the shape of the models can be very different sometimes. So... wait to arrive, use them for 10 minutes straight (somewhere indoors, on a clean carpet) to see well how they fit to your feet with the socks that you are planning to use them. If they don't have pressure points after 10 minutes of use, I believe a 95% that they will be good in the future too. Be sure to secure them well in your feet with the lacing system, in order to discover possible flaws. Not only the size can be sometimes a problem. The width is also very important, the materials, the cage and the contact with the instep, the tongue to be wide enough to cover the entire instep and so on.

    Hey should i buy these or 880 v13

    • @EasyLifeES
      @EasyLifeES 27 днів тому

      New Balance Arishi v4 have softer foam in the midsole. Also more exposed foam in the outsole. That translates in softer cushioning but less durable (in the street). Indoors won't be affected that much. New Balance 880 v13 I only tried in the store, so no real experience with them. They feel more rugged made (2 kinds of rubber in them, one of them being Ndurance that is a good compound made for durability). The foam also combined (Fresh Foam is softer, the other one more firm). The 880 v13 will be my pick, has good cushioning (although is slightly firmer) but better durability at a first glance. Now you know better your "needs", so it remains your decision in the end.

      If your measurements are correct even size 40 it might be slightly bigger for your feet. My feet have around 257-260 mm and the size 41 fits me correctly, because inside I still have around 2-2.5 cm in front end of free space (my arch is on the bigger side, that also matters in order to get a correct lock in the instep). If you buy them too big you won't be able to secure well with the lacing system. Depending how is the width of your feet I believe you are somewhere in between 39 and 40. If you afford you can buy 2 sizes and keep just one. If you are not willing you can try to check something similar in a Nike store to verify your correct size. For me this model runs TTS.
