This is how I avoid the melee attacks and purple star projectiles. By mirroring the bosses movement below it appears to prevent him from shooting at you. And if he does, have him shoot into the floor to prevent the purple stars from forming. See thumbnail image.

This boss will not take damage. 1st hero (Hocus Pocus lvl 67) at full health with an extra life and Sisu. Orion and Cole as my 2nd and 3rd. W19 in Mr Autofire is a 12 room world which makes it easier to control enemy attack patterns. Some rooms I stand in a certain place and jump when needed, others I draw fire to one spot and stand in another. On my way to perfect on the new Kayla and time is just making things very hard. New Kayla attack is way harder to avoid but not as strong and her heath is a lot lower. I think it’s easier than prior.

Hopefully this helps people learn some tips and tricks to get thru. These weren’t good perks for running thru quickly. The flying worm boss I think is very helpful, hang out in the lower left and learn recognize the attack and when to jump to avoid the melee attack.

Otto attack technique

At floor 2125 I decided I was done with my Dark Castle run and it took me 6min and 22 rooms of me trying my hardest to take hits and end my game. First hero Orion Gale, 2nd Hocus Pocus, 3rd Cole. Exalted level 70 Emergency shell, Camo Cloak and Plaster

Been in a dark castle run for a few days. I had a few ad chests to open.

Defeated Queen Katla without focus shots. Also shows how helpful a 4 star Ghost pet can be with the suppressive shots. Ghost below 4 stars is useless.
