2012 Google+ Mt. Fuji Photowalk
A group of us from Google+ got together and climbed Mt. Fuji on August 24 and 25, 2012. This is a slideshow of some of the pictures taken during that trip! (I do recommend watching the HD version if you can)
I took more photos than I could fit in the song, so more are available in my G+ albums: plus.google.com/u/0/111099835542235293080
Music used in slideshow: "Sooner or Later" by Mat Kearney (and yes, I know it was used in the Google zeitgeist video, I just happen to like this song very much :)
Big thanks to Holger Feroudj for initiating the photowalk! Also, a big thank you to Google Japan for organizing and supporting the trip. They (Google Japan) put together this video of our trip: ua-cam.com/video/v8TsBl5fTaI/v-deo.html
Finally, Naoki Doi (one of my fellow photowalkers) made his own awesome video which you can check here! ua-cam.com/video/548snK3KYAc/v-deo.html

2012 New Year Countdown - Tokyo, Japan
Переглядів 68 тис.12 років тому
Countdown of the last 60 seconds of the year 2011 at Zojoji Temple in Tokyo, Japan. (apologies for the blurriness!) Extra tidbit: to those of you concerned about the effect of the balloons on the environment - they are made out of "oblaat", a type of starch that dissolves in water. The turtles and dolphins are safe guys :)

Kumagaya Fireworks Show 2011

This was a portion of the hour long fireworks show in Kumagaya. An actual fire broke out about halfway through, and it took almost an hour to put out, but luckily they picked up where they left off. It was a great show! :)

i wanna try doing what they did this year's last day, you know what those balloons signifies? well 2011 was a horrible year for Japan as they suffered the most devastating natural disaster an those balloons signifies hope for the new year, so good :)
Waaaaaa! It's so pretty!
I think you mean Poland... because you live there
NYE is so futuristic! I <3 it
thats not even funny, thats just messed up
same here WOO!
@kepsux Lol I watched your videos yesterday and i just found this it's kinda funny
Old Timer here, who prefer to wait for the classic bells (除夜の鐘) of Temples or Shinto ShrinesTaiko sound 108 times at New Year's Eve midnight, reflecting the past, thought for new , alone, or with family, friends.... that's traditional Japanese way, more meaningful than just making noise sending old one off like other nations do. You'd listen those serene sounds from neighboring temples, shrines, or, thru TV/radios of famous temples bells. That's much tasteful, meaningful, and memorable.
I was there and also have a video from the count down
Japan is and always will be an awesome place.

Balloon releases are harmful to the environment, to wildlife and to domestic animals, as I outline in an article, "A salutary lesson in the perils of inflation" which you can find by Googling for "birdguides balloon release". Perhaps the organisers were told that the balloons are biodegradable - but, as my article shows, even biodegradable balloons can last - and do harm - for a year or more.
