      As I think about it some more, the creek in the video is the same creek that flows in front of the Outlaw bar. When you pull out of the bar take a left on the trail/road and you can enter the creek about a mile down. facebook.com/OutlawBarAndGrillWV/

    Great crystal clear video and narration with no music and excellent tip re the caliper upgrade. I needed a good look at the front suspension/spindle/hub setup for a DIY Scorpion P6 style reverse trike build that I'm designing. Banshee front end parts should be a good shortcut.

    • @350iroc9

      No not at all. The Banshee was never used for racing due to its weight of 400 LBS. Its main purpose was to rule the desert and sand dunes. The machine of choice during this era for racing was the Honda 250R.

      Closest thing in the distance past was the first generation Polaris Scramblers. Big bore 2 stroke 4x4's. I do have to admit the 4x4's are super capable but with that comes twice the weight. Anytime I drive my Renegade I have to remind myself that it's 800lbs and not nearly as agile as my sport quads are. Thanks for watching and thank you for the comment!

      I guess it depends on what school your from. I can't say I agree with you that they "suck" in the woods but are more challenging than modern 4-strokes. Secondly I will take a manual clutch over a CVT belt system any day. I for sure about this as I have both types. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment!

      It really is super fun to ride! Its even more fun with all of the parts I install over the years. With that said my YFZ450r is definitely more refined and never temperamental to the conditions like the banshee. On the other hand the banshee is simple and the 450 complex. The 450 gets no attention and the Banshee get's it all! Thanks for watching!

    • @350iroc9
      @350iroc9 2 місяці тому

      If you are heavy set then 450 all day is the best option. The Banshee in Glamis really has to work with a big fella piloting it. They will boil easily with aggressive sand paddles. The 450 is so much easier to ride in the dunes and gets twice the gas mileage. I've had zero issues in my 65 hours of operation with the 450. In fact the only reason I have it is because I burned up my Banshee's electrical system in Glamis because it got too hot. If you have never owned a Banshee before then just skip it honestly. They are way too expensive now. Spend your time riding and not working on it all the time is my recommendation. You won't be disappointed with a 450. I also think the 450 is a better quad than the Raptor if you were considering it.

    • @350iroc9
      @350iroc9 8 днів тому

      @@ghammababy3992 Wow that is awesome and you are doing it the right way! With everything you mentioned you will have unleashed the full potential of the 450 and have it dialed in for a happy healthy life! My last recommendations as an FYI is to keep an eye on that FCI intake where it clamps to the throttle body. If you installed it yourself then you already know that there is not much room for that boot to bite onto it. That clamp is known to get loose after several heat cycles so re-torque it from time to time. Its so tight in there and hard to see as you probably already know. Next is battery care. For whatever reason my Vortex ECU will drain my battery if it sits to long. I don't know about the power commander but I've made it a practice to disconnect the negative battery cable after every trip so that doesn't happen anymore. I'm positive you made the right choice! Don't get me wrong I love my Banshee but will also admit I suffered for years trying different combinations of parts and settings before finally getting it right. Again congratulations and wishing you safe smiles for miles!

      Hi there! I purchased mine from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. To start I decided to only purchase the fronts to make sure they fit. As you already know there is limited information/options on this subject. Don't bother contacting Elka as they don't produce anything for our year. The fronts I purchased are from the 2023 XXC 1000R parts list. They are called FOX 1.5 PODIUM RC2. The shock bodies are sold separately from the springs. In my case and because I wasn't sure I also purchased the springs to be safe. In hind sight I didn't need to as they are the same springs used on the stock FOX shocks as a FYI. Here is a link to the OEM parts finder: www.rockymountainatvmc.com/oem-schematic/10 Drill down to Can-AM > ATV> 2023> ATV-North America-Renegade-Series> Renegade 1000R EFI - XXC - North America The Can-AM part number is 706203208 for the fronts and 706004492 for the rears.

      Hi there and thank you for the question. The ride park I was testing at is mainly sand so the tires would only spin. Honestly this was only the third ride for me on this machine. During the initial break in weekend it was raining and mud for miles so again limited traction. Right out of the gate I ordered the HMF exhaust system with the Power Vision 3 tuner. Both of these upgrades helped but I still needed more. The QSC REV-X primary clutch is a bit spendy at $1200 but quickly became the flagship upgrade. Now the power spools up like "right now"! My riding background is with sport quads and are my primary machines in select areas. The CVT 4x4 platform is new to me still. My reasoning/vision for purchasing this machine is to branch out and explore more riding areas that I wouldn't consider before. Sport Quads are no fun in heavy mud and water because you simply can't keep your goggles clean to see. If you can't see then spin the wheel of pain. Endless large rock trails will not only destroy a Sport Quad but will also knock the fillings out of your teeth. Already with the small amount of time I've had to enjoy the Renegade I've gone further longer than my other machines. This suggests that my plan is working but its like living in two very different worlds. 800lbs is not 400lbs and you know it on these. Lastly congratulations on your purchase! There's nothing like bringing home something new that you can get into and make it your own. Keep in touch because if you reside in the US I'm sure you've noticed the 650 Renegade is a bit of a Unicorn.

      I took a look at your channel and it appears your dirt bike rider! I also ran dirt bikes in my earlier days retiring on a 1989 CR250. So for you (i'm assuming here) it will be nice to have both 2 wheels and 4. Remember the snow doesn't matter anymore as these things plow through anything! I also wanted to mention that as your read the limited information, many people are worried about the lack of power steering. Not only would that add more weight it would add more $$. You simply don't need it and in my opinion will make you soft. This quad steers like any other if not easier due to the larger tire size and increased ground clearance. I can see its place on a XMR navigating the skag with giant tires but its a luxury. Your dirt bike doesn't have any storage so why would you need any now? You don't and is what backpacks are for. I think your really going to like the new couch on wheels lifestyle...

    Did you use all the banshee brake lines?

    • @350iroc9
      @350iroc9 7 місяців тому

      So I already had aftermarket braided brake lines installed due to the +2 +1 A-arms requiring the lines to be longer. You can certainly use the stock brake lines as the banjo bolts are exactly the same. This upgrade is worth every penny and wish I would of done it long ago. You can literally lock up the front tires on command with one finger yet are very precise as needed.

    how much would you recommend a yfz 450

    • @350iroc9

      I absolutely love my 450! Yesterday I was riding my buddies 2020 Raptor and I'm glad I went the 450 route. The only down side is the amount of money I needed to sink into it from stock. The stock exhaust sounds like a sewing machine. Once you upgrade the exhaust now you need some form of fuel programmer. Next the AIS emissions has to go and its up to you if you want an intake. After its all said and done its an absolutely amazing machine! You can drive it fast or you can drive it slow - it doesn't care. It has tons of power and is easy to drive yet is very good on gas consumption. I have a hour meter and after 3 years of ownership and 65 operating hours nothing has worn out. Yamaha's build quality is second to none and couldn't be happier with it. I hope that answers your question and thank you for watching!

    What did you use to tune the fuel mixture?

      I took my quad to BNR Motorsports in Lima Ohio and they flashed my Vortex with a custom map on their Dyno. The cost was $300 and worth it to make sure I was in the healthy range regarding Air/Fuel.

    You ever been to the pike county APV area? I’ve been once but had to cut the ride short due to a corroded battery terminal. Hoping to get out there again next year. They open up the first week of April, and it’s free to go to so long as you got the apv sticker/plate. Gotta have a title or COO to get it.

      Hi there and thank you for the comment. I can not say I've been there before and honestly wasn't aware of it. Now that you have brought it to my attention I did mark it on the map and will make an effort to visit this place so thank you!

    In your experience was it easier to install the RP Race intake vs. the FCI or about the same level of PAIN IN THE ASS? Thanks

    Does it have to be 07 calipers with the 08 master cylinder? Can't it just be all 08? What is the latest year that the banshee will support?

    • @350iroc9
      @350iroc9 9 місяців тому

      You can use any years from 2007 to current for the Master Cylinder and calipers. The 2006 and earlier were different. Master Cylinder Part# 5D3-2583T-02-00 Front Caliper (Right) Part# 5TG-2580U-12-00 Front Caliper (Left) Part# 5TG-2580T-12-00 I used the 07 and 08 because that is what I had. As a follow up this brake upgrade is 1000% better stopping power than stock and highly recommend it! Thanks for watching!
