ആമോസ് 3:3 രണ്ടുപേർ തമ്മിൽ ഒത്തിട്ടല്ലാതെ ഒരുമിച്ചു നടക്കുമോ? 3:4 ഇരയില്ലാതിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ സിംഹം കാട്ടിൽ അലറുമോ? ഒന്നിനെയും പിടിച്ചിട്ടല്ലാതെ ബാലസിംഹം ഗുഹയിൽനിന്നു ഒച്ച പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുമോ? 3:5 കുടുക്കില്ലാതിരിക്കെ പക്ഷി നിലത്തെ കണിയിൽ അകപ്പെടുമോ? ഒന്നും പിടിപെടാതെ കണി നിലത്തുനിന്നു പൊങ്ങുമോ? 3:6 നഗരത്തിൽ കാഹളം ഊതുമ്പോൾ ജനം പേടിക്കാതിരിക്കുമോ? യഹോവ വരുത്തീട്ടല്ലാതെ നഗരത്തിൽ അനർത്ഥം ഭവിക്കുമോ? 3:7 യഹോവയായ കർത്താവു പ്രവാചകന്മാരായ തന്റെ ദാസന്മാർക്കു തന്റെ രഹസ്യം വെളിപ്പെടുത്താതെ ഒരു കാര്യവും ചെയ്കയില്ല. Amos 3:3-7 Can two walk together, except they be agreed? Will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing? Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him? shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all? Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it? Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

ഉല്പത്തി 5:21 ഹാനോക്കിന്നു അറുപത്തഞ്ചു വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അവൻ മെഥൂശലഹിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു. 5:22 മെഥൂശലഹിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ച ശേഷം ഹാനോക്ക് മൂന്നൂറു സംവത്സരം ദൈവത്തോടുകൂടെ നടക്കയും പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ജനിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്തു. 5:23 ഹനോക്കിന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലം ആകെ മുന്നൂറ്ററുപത്തഞ്ചു സംവത്സരമായിരുന്നു. 5:24 ഹാനോക്ക് ദൈവത്തോടുകൂടെ നടന്നു, ദൈവം അവനെ എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടതിനാൽ കാണാതെയായി.
