Perhaps one of these days, I’ll cover my collection and how I decide what to keep and what to sell. Overall my mind sent is usually quality over quantity. (Sort of like food hahahahaha)

Fantastic points my friend! I definitely see the concerns. I sort of suspend belief when I see movies (I hope to see the Deadpool/Wolverine movie very soon btw…it makes me wonder (pure speculation) RDJ rejected any Iron Man movie offers and Disney decided, give him any other character…as long as they can get him on the screen…and hope he pulls in the crowd. I just hope the movie is well made, because with good material, I suspect RDJ will me amazing. He really is a very talented actor. Let’s keep our fingers crossed!

Thanks for the feedback my friend. I didn’t realize Buddy Holly only had 2 albums in his lifetime. Amazing. Besides this album, I also have a best of Buddy Holly album. I do enjoy a Buddy Holly music, and was impressed that he had so many recognizable sones in his first album. Now, on Monday, I’ll be posting another record video. Check this out. I was selling records to a very nice lady, and while she was picking a stack of records from me, she asked if I liked a couple artists…and she mentioned that she didn’t want records from those artists anymore. One thing lead to another, and I went right to her house to pick them up. Ultimately we traded for her records and she paid me much less cash. Wait till you see the records I got from her. Monday my friend…stay tuned, and please don’t miss it. 🙏🏽

The day after I got this collection, a person came by to buy records, and we ended out trading for other records she had but didn’t listen to anymore…hint…the records I got in the trade were even better than these. @@Johnthecomicguy thank you. Sometimes I am really surprised at what some stores throw in the $1 bins. I know it’s an inventory thing that they just want to move out and don’t have enough space for their new inventory coming in.

@@jon6309 very true. And people all have different collecting habits. More than once I’ve walked up to $1 bins at a convention, and I see the person ahead of me with a stack of books I absolutely would have purchased…they just beat me to it…all at $1 bins!

@@Johnthecomicguy ahh I seem to get lucky. I know some people were disappointed when they came in just a few minutes late as I digged to the bin and found some Bronze Age keys. I try not to stress about it and do it for fun. I haven’t sold a comic book yet and don’t plan on becoming a dealer anytime soon.

Brother, thank you so much for your comment and feedback! I agree 100%. I’ve been in discussion with other UCG members (United Collectors Group…that you see on the bottom of my videos). We’re giving great consideration to alternatives. Between the 4 of our UCG members (me, J&J comics, Patriot Comics and Comics Catacomb, we have over 120 years of collecting experience, plus we all adhere to CGC grading specs.). We’ve been pondering a good alternative to the mainstream graders and are looking into ways to grade and create a tamper evident vessel. At an affordable price point. As always my friend, you are appreciated!

Good question, I honestly don’t know, but I suspect it is. This issue #1 is dated 1990, so if the sinister six story arc is in a Spider-Man comic, I’d have to believe it is in issues from this series. I do know the amazing Spider-Man title had several sinister six story arcs.

@Johnthecomicguy The series I'm referring to, was literally just called, "Spiderman", too. The arc I read had Dr. Octopus re-uniting the team of Mysterio, Electro, the Vulture, the Hobgoblin, and the Sandman, and Ock retrieving his Adamantium tentacles, and essentially going on a killing spree; hitting high-profile super-science targets and collecting high-tech weapons. The full arc ran for six issues.

We’ll, I think budget is a loose term. If you can’t feed yourself or your family, or pay your mortgage, absolutely, I agree…however, if you are limiting your expenses so you don’t “overspend” or to make sure you have a balance in life to have funds to invest and vacation etc (I’d hope most of us are in this category), I think for entertainment purposes, we can think of creative ways to accommodate the spending balance of comics…but you are 1000% right…if people have to budget to eat or pay their mortgage, definitely please reconsider your spending choices lol. I hope most people who enjoy comics can afford hobby’s without sacrificing their family’s welfare.

Doug, thank you so much for the info! I had no idea the backs came off. It is great to know you are already using and really enjoy them! I was so impressed that they provide UV protection. If other vendors would use the same UV protected materials, we can all feel more confident displaying out books for longer periods. I should be doing a zoom with the execs at Comic Capsule next week some time, and will be bringing up the request for larger sizes. I agree. Magazine and golden age alternatives would be amazing. If you count who won more points that weighed heavier to me…it was Comic Skins…so I thought, since it was so darn close, its a tie. But I’d really be interested in your thoughts on who won for the points that were more of a priority for you. Let me know

@@Johnthecomicguy honestly with your review... they both seem like very nice ways to display and secure comics. I would probably lean more towards the Comic Capsule as a wall display. The custom labels on the Comic Skins is very nice, but as someone who doesn't care about the grading as much, I think more benefits go to Comic Capsules.

Thanks so much for your comment my friend and I totally understand. I actually get a little overly cautious when using A4 sticker paper. If you forgive the obvious pun, A4 is so darn sticky…I feel I have very little control. I use a lot and am relatively confident using it, but on the new Comic Capsule surface…I was overly cautious, and as you can see…because the flip-up part is actually not meant to get a sticker on it…once I “affixed” the sticker, the result was not totally smooth. It looks good, just not perfect. That’s another reason I gave the point for Labels to Comic Skins. But no doubt…both options are really spectacular. If you end out trying 1 or two of each, you’ll see both offer advantages…both solutions are really excellent for collectors.

You are Spot on! I agree. What I can live with for older books in terms of grade, is not what I would keep for a Modern book. Excellent point!

Gotcha- thanks so much for the info- I got to tell you, if I remember correctly the bookstores I remember had Trade Paperbacks but I just don’t remember actual comics and grocery stores by me only carried (and still carry) women’s magazines. I would have loved to peruse comics if I ever went food shopping lol
