Lost my dad to Parkinson's over the course of two years. Over that time he slipped into a horrible persona, the opposite of the man that raised me. Occasionally he had moments of relative clarity. I forgot to save the voicemail where he wished me a happy birthday. That was the last time I ever heard his voice. I haven't watched Adventure Time front to back yet. Maybe now's the time.

This song reminds me of a book called “the girl who drank the moon” every year the people of the protectorate leave a baby in the woods. They hope that this sacrifice keeps the witch away through they don’t believe in the witch even if it’s real and they think the baby gets killed.the witch like always goes to the same spot that they always leave the baby and she takes care of it, she named it “Luna” since of her birthmark is a croissant moon and she fed her starlight like the babies that came before her but the witch wasn’t looking and accidentally fed her the moon filling the ordinary child extraordinary magic. The witch cast a spell on her that every time something or someone mentions magic her mind goes blank but as the years continue the witch grows older and the Luna too. The witch starts to sleep more and fade away as Luna is trying to figure out herself and the word “magic” and why all of these things are happening too her. The witch left a note since Luna left and explain these things but the word “magic” was gone. (I’m only halfway this book and that’s all I know lol😭 but yeah it reminds me of that)
