Here in the Netherlands we have something called "stamppot". I think the right translation for this is hotchpotch. Basically you mash kale and boiled potato's together. You can make it into a really nice meal by adding certain spices and you can add other ingredients if you wish. Personally, I like to add in some smoked sausage or bacon cubes😋👩‍🍳

Now just waiting for an American to say *"lol u call that hot?? here in phoenix that wud be cold lol!!"* because A.) they are like children and see everything as a competition and B.) a lot are too stupid to understand that a desert climate will always be warmer than a temperate one.

They do scratch the ground and eat the grass ofcourse, but I still have to mow the grass every 2 weeks. They just can't keep up with it. I have about 25m² with 3 chickens, but I think I could still get a few more before the grass suffers from it. It is important to know that they poop wherever they want so the grass is always well fertilised. I have to chalk my lawn at leat twice a year to keep the pH down. I chalk right before the hot summer and ones before the beginning of winter. In the winter when the ground is frozen the chickens will break the grass by walking on it just like we would. That's why I keep mine in when it's freezing. Other than that I don't have any problems, hopes this helped!😃

Hi! One of my chickens (the one with the orange neck) is a German breed called 'Koningsberger'. The other small gray one is from Sweden but we are not sure what breed she is. We have another bigger white chicken and she is a Sussex Colombia mix, also from Sweden. Weirdly enough, they don't jump over the small fences I set up. My chickens are very lazy and as long as they have enough food options on one side of the fences they will not jump over. I'm pretty sure they could if they tried😂 I uploaded a video on my chickens a few days ago where I also show their coop. It is basically a wooden coop up off the ground, attached to a DIYed run my boyfriend and I build.
