I have a 2024 DR650. She is an amazing bike. Truly grateful to be able to own it.
Mr what's up with that? You could not find a worse guy to ask you redundant questions. What a putz !
A true testament to the reliability, and versatility of this motorcycle!
Amazing! to think I'm going to buy 2024 model and it's identical to a 20 year old one!
Preach! Amazing bike, great owner.
50hrs on mine, changed tires and its basically still new, could change grips soon and it'll look even Newer! Hahahaha
More !
The guy doing this interview ruins this video. Like he knows nothing about motorcycles!
Got home from Indian and was able to watch this video....my self & Brothers Bond counted your "So"'s LOL Great video BTW!
This bike owner is great!
That is incredible
I get that you didn't fret about the NSU, but if you fixed the oil pump sprocket, it was right there!
My dog and I rode 34,000 miles in 2023 and hope match that this year. Way overloaded and it still goes anywhere and takes on any environment with trouble free reliability
Kudos for the miles. Not a garage queen like most bikes!
Love mine. Trying to figure out why it stalls and sputters after I get gas.
How you glue back, i tray TWO times all fail🤭
If you follow the wires from the left clutch housing to the wiring harness in the headlight shell, unplug the male and female connectors plug the male and female leads from the wiring harness together ,you delete the switch to pull the clutch to start feature, I also followed the two wires from the kickstand kill switch up towards the battery ,solder the two wires together and heat shrink the connection you delete the kickstand down kill switch , I removed mine and threw it away ,and cut off the mounting tab.....😊,excellent vidio, ride on !
Getting a 2023 this weekend as my first bike. For $7,200 CAD its a great deal for a dual sport adventure bike
subbed because its awesome
For me personally this is the way I expect edvertisement of a vehicle to be. Not that crap we see every day, shiny vehicle, well photoshopped with beautiful ladies next to it.
Hell is a real place Bro- you better get right with Jesus! .02
I think that plastic gear that drives the oil pump deteriorates with age, not so much with km, or maybe both, 20 years old or so, change it! many 50.000 km bikes die of this cheap sprocket breaking off a tooth.. I know bdcause I rang up a few whos bikes were up for sale in parts, I asked them why? Most said because of that sprocket!
Thanks man
Thank you Man!!!❤❤❤
🎉He needs a new camera guy. His wording was awful, like he knew nothing about motorcycles.
You just made my mind up. THANKS
Got a DR five years ago and never looked back. Will only switch if someone makes a modern 400 dual sport. I imagine its coming soon from ktm with their new stroked 390 motor.
Just lock down some visegrips. I mean really lock them down. Worked for my 2008 300.
I plan on getting my 2000 dr650 to 100k plus I’m at 40k right now
note that the ride hight is adjustable on this bike. stock is 34 inches high. but you can go lower. I was born with mild cerebral palsy So I needed a low sitting ride hight to throw may leg over and balance the bike on may right.
can you replace the plastic oil pump gear on this bike with a metal one?
Change it for a new one, cheap, will last another 15 years.. did some investigation, phoned up three bike owners, with wrecked engine, to my suprise all said, plastic gear that drives the oil pump, broke a teeth off..
where can I buy one of those 4.9 gallon tanks for may dr650? Thats just what I need for long distance rides from Joshua Tree CA where I live to may family home in Chicago.
PROCYCLE!
Motorsport
This guy is a BEAST 91k miles......now that's a REAL biker
He deserves the iron butt award for sure.
What's up with that
A testament to a good machine
Thanks I was having a hard time trying to figure out how to get it but with your vid I was able to
I met clay at a swap at the mn fairgrounds last summer while on my dr650. he greeted me enthusiastically. I have the procycle foam and cover and today I have determined that my dr is as comfy as my 2002 1150gs with a low cut bill meyer saddle at 60 mph. clay told me he ran a dr all over the nation and this film is pretty cool. Clay, do a follow up after you feel your bike is fully broken in. thanks and keep the shiny side up!
good video, good to see an Alkaline Trio banner in a moto garage, now I gotta find that online myself.
Just bought a 2015 last week with 100 miles on it. Carb clean new battery got and my son has a new bike for $3500 and it feels faster than my 09 XR 650 not sure but I think it will be.
91.000 miles on stock exhaust is more impressive
Just as I started watching this video an older DR650 cruises past my house.
this is the video that made me decide on the dr650
Well obviously built to run a long time. That’s impressive mileage.
Wow that gas tank. Are there options for painting them? I can’t get past the yellowed plastic look
Vinyl wrap
Ive been thinking about selling my sport bike and getting a new one of these. This is all nice to hear.
What's up with that?
Any performance gain with your expansion chamber
You can bypass the clutch safety feature. Just move a few wires around. There's video's that show how it's done. Super easy. I have a 2013 and I love it.
What grade fuel does everyone run?
The DR650 is an absolute tractor and it's brilliant. Loved my 08 to bits 😎🤘(edit, I loved the original tyres too, great in the heaviest tropical rain on any road)
