Good Morning
Hi
I line up the folded edge on top of the second piece. Put the ruler on the fold stitch line and mark with a Hera marker or disappearing pen. Line up the sewing line on the two layers, stitch and then cut away the extra. Very accurate and much easier
again i missed the live but glad we can watch later
It was not lined up before the first cut. I mean horizontally it was off slightly. I appreciate the tips. Not criticizing just that’s why it might have been more difficult after to line it up.
A few places could get it off, but at the end, it is so slight. I had more trouble lining it up because I kept moving it! lol! Since I hand cut the strips, I did not want to rely on the horizontal lines. Thanks for the tip though! Always appreciated!

Hello! You have a very calm manner explaining each step so clearly. THANK YOU! I have a question, please: if the cuts are the same, why wouldn’t you layer the fabrics cutting those that are the same at one time? I appreciate you❤️
I have stacked and cut, but many have told me they prefer me to go over it several times. When we get to the background, I will most definitely be stacking and whacking! LOL As long as you line up the fabrics very well, you are more than welcome to stack and cut. I actually prefer it!

I'm planning on doing the 2025 gravity sew along. This helps! I have made 2 jaybird patterns and you are right!! Trimming those tips helps so much!

Can you tell me if there is enough fabric in the stackers to starch and then cut the blocks. Thanks
Some people say starching shrinks the fabrics, so I do not starch them before cutting, just after I make the block. There usually is enough, but sometimes the charm pack squares are cut a little short, so I explain how to cut if they are short.
I can’t wait to see you see those not so fight 3.5 inch triangles I feel so unsure
