      Yeah its doing well ,compared to other skidsteers having 4 wheel motors is far better IMO than the typical oil filled chain casing setup more room in cab quieter and less to cause issues on older kit (seals ,bearings sprockets and chains to wear out) Also H pattern controls are easier to get used to if you drive other kit. Kubota engine so no issues with parts there but for hydraulic pumps and valves ect would be a case of finding equivalents from hydraulic suppliers or having things rebuilt . With Belle not making them anymore and getting the machines getting on in age parts are hard to find but its a simple machine.

      Cheer's my flail is an ls3 600 if im not mistaken the ls3 is the heavier built model so the one to go for doing mulching. i prefer the 600 (narrower cut ) as it spins back up to speed faster again for heavier work id say its faster than a wider cut that takes longer to recover the RPM,s

    Hey mate cracking video. what weight is the excavator and what’s the overall train weight how did this effect your mpg. Where did you get the suspension bags? Cheers

    • @bengoddard6898
      @bengoddard6898 11 місяців тому

      Cheer's the digger is 2.8 so with trailer 3.5t on the back then 5-6t train depending on how loaded the truck is, Mpg probably drops from 20 to 16-17 at a guess i only tow local so haven't checked on longer journeys . The air bags came from john craddock's but i think there also on ebay and other sites just search up Air lift, you get different ones for 110's ect as the springs are different diameters . im really pleased with them on the 90 stops it squatting with weight without the ride being any rougher empty .

      Any Land Rover has a towing capacity of 4 tonnes on the Sahara, since 1952 and I saw in Northern Cyprus in 1981 and 1982, many "construction teams" consisting of one Series I or II Land rover, 5 to 7 peoples, 3 or 4 wheelbarrows and many pickaxes an shovels on top of Land Rover, a concrete mixer as a first trailer and an approximetly 5 to 6 meters tower crane as a second trailer under 45 celcius on the shade. If you not believe, consult the Land Rover international magazine or ask directly to the Land Rover.

    • @bengoddard6898
      @bengoddard6898 Рік тому

      Yeah occasionally id be pulling one of the leavers the wrong way probably muscle memory from driving diggers but ive got it figured out now , With the height on the first load id get out and look in the trailer once in a while but soon found the technique to get the muck to the other side of the trailer the grab is far better for that as you can chuck the much as you tip. You do have to crane your neck a bit but il take it over shunting round the yard on a tractor also soon learnt once the bucket is above the sideboards there's no need to watch it tip just feel for the end of the travel .

    Great vid, like the digger! I got an old pel job that smokes quite a bit and was thinking of changing the injectors. Was it blue smoke you were getting? Im worried mine is running on oil as well as diesel. Its ancient but runs, digs and drives.👍

    • @bengoddard6898
      @bengoddard6898 Рік тому

      ok so interestingly ive just had the cylinder head off this one and replaced the valve stem seals which has cured it again, changing the injectors lasted a couple of months then it started smoking again more white than blue which prompted looking into it burning some oil and as such the valve stem seals were knackerd, we also de-coked and re lapped the valves which will have helped . I did send an injector out to get it tested before shelling out for new ones and they were knackerd. it wasnt expensive to get them tested so was worth it to know before buying new
