Your Title is deceptive, It should be "5 years of experience from a professional editor in 10 minutes" Your title made it seem like you were talking about how to actually edit. You would have easily reached over a million views if it was labeled correctly

what I like to do is spend hours making sure its good, take a day off to clear my head, come back and fix anything I missed

Also after 10 years of video editing and youtube, its clear that youtube doesnt particually care about good editing, noone searches for highly edited video of X right. And thus class content like this, even after success can really perform badly. Also a Fiverr pro seller.. and yeah 100% what a sh*tshow it is being there. Made tons of cash but, its pure hell.

I’ve been editing for my own channel almost a year now and the amount things I’ve learned is insane. Every small thing that I see is wrong, I try to fix in my next video. There’s so much truth behind“Rome wasn’t built in a day”, and I can see it when I look at my first upload and my most recent ones.
