I have lived in Russia for 20 years and have a lot of knowledge about life in Russia, how people live in Russia, Homes in Russia, Russian schools, raising children in Russia, Russian food, travel in Russia, Russian people, Russian customs and just about anything else you can think of concerning Russia. Living for 20 years in an area of the world can give you a different perspective on life there than you would have during a short stay.

There's a similar story on the Space Shuttle millions of dollar re-entry special tiles. China made similar by using charcoaled wood.
I'll have to call major B.S. on the China thing. China can only steal tech from others, I'm sure if they tried on their own that their entire rocket would be wood, or bamboo. Charred wood is OK with some minor things, but reentry back into earth.......no. I call BS

I would bring an example from a completely different industry -- firearms. One may argue that when automatic pistols were first invented, people just didn't know how to make them properly, and that's why the Thompson was so complicated and expensive compared to the PPS-43. Well, there is absolutely no way that a Thompson could cost more in its production than a very basic 50cubics motorcycle, yet it very well did -- people paid not for its actual cost but for its perceived "coolness'. The idea of creating something out of this world, "space technology," even in your toilet, is as much a part of American culture as the worship cults in ancient times. I mean in this particular context. If Russians invented this pen it wouldn't have been called "space'.
I love you final sentence how if the Russians invented this, it would just be called "pen". Made me smile.
@@americaninrussia@americaninrussia Just remembered, of course, the Australian Owen submachine gun invented by a boy in Dad's garage just 15 years later. Other speaking nations (including imperial Brits!) do not have this remarkable American propensity for "super" when, even if you can't make it so grand in reality, you hype it up by calling it like that. This is one of the differences between Canadians and Americans, for example, one that can be felt even in an emotional atmosphere. Sometimes it produces really funny results like the story of the atomic bomb and Rita Heyworth -- after all, both did impress people around the globe 😉
I've had short ribs before and not in the condition that you described, but yeah, maybe let's NOT skip Kholodetz. Sure, in this application it is meant to just hang in one spot, usually in mid-air. For example, "The man was suspended for more than an hour hanging by a rope over the stage." In a broader sense, the same approach could be observed in the USSR in the introduction and use of scientific and technological progress. Where in the USA commercialization, commoditization and profit were at the top of the agenda, in the USSR it was preferred to get maximum benefit with minimum effort. In particular, in the U.S., satellite and cable television developed as an offer of maximum opportunities for wealthy customers, while in the USSR the same task was approached as ensuring universal accessibility of the necessary things. Therefore, satellite broadcasts were received not on millions of small user satellite dishes, but on a few large receiving antennas in large cities from the TV center and, which retransmitted them with the help of terrestrial television. At the same time, since Russia is a northern country and geostationary satellites can only be placed on the equator, satellites were designed to be launched into a high elliptical orbit, which is so called "Molniya orbit". The same principles applied to the approach in the use of computers and mobile communication, which was independently invented in the USSR in 1957. Both approaches have their advantages and disadvantages, the Soviet approach was determined by limited resources. But in general, resources are always limited, and in commoditization they are often wasted.
Thank you, some very interesting information and it makes sense.

It is the fundamental Christian, and also biological, truth of choosing the lesser evil. To believe that there is or even can be someone not mismanaging anything, is pagan and beliving the unrealistic the false. An ideal exists only in mind, an unattainable ideal, otherwise it's not an ideal, and once 'attained' the mind will stop working, and that ideal is a motivation to strive for it, but the practical method is choosing the lesser evil or discarding what is less close to the ideal. Assessing who mismanages less, or is a lesser evil, and choosing that is the way to do things.
This is a rather pragmatic answer if we proceed from the logic of choosing the lesser evil from two bad options and the fact that a person's thirst for power and personal material interest is present to a much greater extent than power for the sake of the public good, and not to satisfy his vanity or improve his financial situation. The experience of the USSR showed that a person cannot get rid of sins even if the code of the builder of communism is written off from the Bible. Although in general it can make society more moral, but still an experiment to create a highly spiritual society in a single country failed, breaking into personal interests.
I would not mind what Americans think if they weren't interfering with the rest of the world all the time. The USA seems to be a nation of missionaries, and they even don't notice that. As my russian mother in law simply said: What do you expect when you attack Russia, whether in Napoleon times or world war? Why don't you stay at home? So, ask the US population why they like to join the army and go to foreign countries?

Re-electing a thief is not "Russian logic". Look at the US, where an avowed, nay boasting embezzler, Mafia boss and war criminal with clinically obvious senile dementia is said to (and may effectively) have won the last presidential election...
The first example you mentioned, the same question could be asked of Americans. Why do you keep voting democrat? Every place they elected they turn into a shithole. Look at California or Chicago or Baltimore or Detroit. Or, the whole country. Every time a Democrat president is elected a recession starts. So, why?
I am Russian and I don't agrree with you. You heard an opinion of an only person, band you think it's applicable yo all situations . If someone stole money, he goes to prison. That's the way the law should work. I would never vite to a person who broke the law.
I understand what you are saying and no, I also understand it doesn't apply to all situations. Also, I asked many other people about the answer I got and while some agreed with it, others didn't, so no, I don't think it applies to all situations. It's any country. I mean, countries are made of people and people have different ideas. Anyhow, I should have made it clear that I understood that the situation doesn't apply to everyone in Russia and next time I will actually make this disclaimer at the beginning of the video. The video is really just done for entertainment purposes.
Nice video. Thank you😊
Thank you too!
Oh, please!!!!! Your philosophi is rotten! Loock at mirror!!!!! Look at our country!!!!! Look at our goverment, look at our president!!!!!! And llok at you losted turist!!!!!
In short, at a basic level, you said everything correctly, but to complete the picture, you need to make a series of videos about Americans vs Russians mind in nuances as well order an independent experts opinion from both sides. ❤from🇨🇦
Sure, this was just an experiment and although I will make future videos of the same style, I'll show both sides, on the same topic and also, as you mentioned, try to get an expert opinion. I also need to make clear that in no country do all of the people think the same way, so there is no one size fits all opinions.
I must disagree. Once I identify a crook I refuse to just accept it. Human nature tells me he will not stop. A tiger doesn't lose its spots. This behavior shows others it is okay to steal. The Bible says though shalt not steal!

In fact You'll may find many references to whom took charge to put the "warning" on the Bible.( the Christian's only, obviously) Funny thing it came from the same people who sold it to us in first place... everystein singleberg timeowitz (a, hugest, problem Russia too will have to face, if it want to survive ... )
The Bible trigger warnings were just added by me to illustrate how stupid and childish trigger warnings are. I've actually not seen such trigger warnings before, but sometimes I need to exaggerate a point in order to show how stupid it is.
@@americaninrussia oh... well, sorry Mark. Actually it was on the news on your former country. A month ago. Exactly as I said
@@lorenzocoffee Well, of course I believe you. I just didn't know this. I tried to choose a ridiculous situation and turns out it is actually the truth. I can't keep up with events over there. The place is falling apart faster than I can read in the news
@@americaninrussia 🤝😂
Across Russia, there are thousands of posters from the Ministry of Defense calling men to sign contracts: 1,000,000 rubles for signing and a monthly salary of 200,000 rubles. Ordinary Russian people - these "pickled cucumbers in a barrel"- don’t understand or can't grasp that this is THEIR MONEY being handed out left and right for something terrible. They don’t seem to care! Can this be explained logically? No, it can’t - since it Russia!
*Russians don’t seem to care if a governor is stealing money for at least two reasons:* 1. There is no civil society. 2. For them, budgetary funds are seen as money that doesn’t belong to the community. They don’t view it as support for new roads, schools, kindergartens, or hospitals. *Bottom line: In Russia, there seems to be a disconnect. It’s like trying to understand the thoughts and actions of someone who is mentally unwell.*
*Governors in Russia are not elected positions anymore! What are you talking about?* In Russia, governors were originally elected by the public, *but in 2004, President Vladimir Putin introduced changes that allowed the federal government to appoint governors instead.* While some regions have since returned to direct elections, the process is often heavily controlled, and the Kremlin still exerts significant influence over the candidates.
This happened in 2001 or 2002 and in that oblast, governors were still an elected position.
He said "at that time" rewatch the video.
Too good for you to never see "dislike" from other side in your video. Because it doesn't count on yt 😂

We are become complacent, uneducated, triggered mess.
Some are, but far to many, even if a minority. To me, the society in the US seems so weak and degraded that it almost invites problems with other countries. Though, I do understand that the pathetic ones are actually a small minority, but their voices are the loudest.
Really interesting intention, to show the difference and similarity of the two nations. You have my like and subscription in support of your good doing.
Thanks for subscribing!
