Water them with distilled water because tap water will turn the tips brown. Spider plants don’t tolerate the chlorine and fluoride in tap water.

Hi ebinom! It sounds like your spider plant might be experiencing some stress. Here are a few tips that might help: 1. Make sure it’s getting enough water, but not too much. Spider plants like their soil to dry out a bit between waterings. 2. Check if it’s getting the right amount of light. They prefer bright, indirect light. 3. Consider the humidity levels. If the air is too dry, the tips can turn brown. 4. Look at the fertilizer. Over-fertilizing can also cause leaf tips to brown. Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes. 🌿😊

To keep your indoor garden happy and gnat-free, I’ve found a few tactics to be really effective: - Allowing the top layer of soil to dry out before watering again can discourage gnat infestations, as they love moisture. - Placing yellow sticky traps near the plants captures the adults and helps break the life cycle. - Neem oil is a fantastic organic option. Mix it with water and use it to drench the soil, targeting the larvae. - Beneficial nematodes are invisible heroes that devour the larvae, available at most garden centers. - Regularly remove any fallen leaves or debris from the pot’s surface. Here’s a sneak peek (first days) into our Zanzibar diary from early October: • Day 1 (Oct 5): Landed at 9 PM and got to the Reef & Beach Resort in Jambiani by 10:20 PM. Even though it was late, we managed to grab a quick snack and wandered around the resort. It was beautiful under the night sky, setting the stage for a peaceful night’s sleep. • Day 2 (Oct 6): Spent the entire day getting to know the resort better. The weather was absolutely perfect. We stumbled upon some cute monkeys, took a dip in the ocean, and had some amazing meals. It felt like paradise. • Day 3 (Oct 7): Our first big adventure day with Safari Blue kicked off with a taxi ride to Fumba. We hopped on a dhow boat, hit Kwale Island for some snorkeling, and then sailed to Menai Bay for the most amazing beach barbecue. Fresh fish, sea breeze, and the sun above - it was the ultimate chill day. • Day 4 (Oct 8): Another day in paradise, enjoying everything the resort had to offer. More snorkeling, swimming, sunbathing, monkey interactions, and fantastic food. It was relaxation at its best under the warm Zanzibar sun. Lucky for us, we had sunny skies throughout our trip with no rain in sight. October is such a sweet spot for visiting Zanzibar - not too crowded and the weather is just right for beach days and excursions. If you’re eyeing September, it’s also a good time since it’s dry season, which means sunny days are pretty much guaranteed. Just keep an eye on the weather forecast as you plan, to sidestep the short rainy season that usually starts in November. Trust me, Zanzibar is an absolute dream, and I’m sure you’re going to have an unforgettable time whether you go in September or October!
