The pacing of the first 9-10 episodes is amazing. The fact that "the match" is never the focus, but the relationships and the characters in the begining of this show is key to its success. It makes you want to watch the next one and the next one and the next one. Meanwhile you get to know the characters without noticing. Sure these episodes are about Hinata and Kageyama but we get insight into Tanaka Suga and Daichi as well behind the scenes.

The way they've handled the tone shifts across these episodes has been outstanding! Going from the sheer catharsis of Kana rising above her internal struggles after being given the spotlight, to now Aqua confronting the deepest and darkest emotions hes been hanging onto...such a ride of contrasts and now we're heading into something truly special next!

Cracks me up when you always include a little ED jam. Cant resist a Bass through a fuzz pedal and a little Fender Jaguar action. :) Keep up the good work
