I have an issue where it only allows me to play some songs. The ones I can't play resort back to a dimmed looking icons (Title and Artist, even the downloaded icon). Any ideas? Thanks for the video, very helpful

well i did the firewall thing and enabled all the local file things. ive downloaded the playlist to my pc. still not seeing it on my phones spotify library :(

Files work, connected to same wifi, local files on, and hit download on both however it works fine on pc but still grayed out on iPhone, any help?

For some reason this has worked but only one song won't download, shows up greyed out and says can't be played on my phone but its fine on my computer. Did it twice and it skipped downloading the same song both times??

For those who doen't work, I tried using an already existing playlist I had, this worked for me.

Android app will not play WAV files that work fine on windows. This video's method did not work for me until I converted the WAVs into MP3, then they would download onto my phone.

This is how i did it a lot of times. Worked fine. But not anymore. When downloading on the phone, it just skips the local files from the computer. Have they changed that or do i have a problem?

windows + android, wasn't working until i converted my files to m4a (aac) and turned off my vpn (while on the same wifi), hope that helps someone

Sometimes songs flat out refuse to download to my phone. Other times, it works just fine

Hi, just wanted to add a comment for how I finally figured out getting local files to show up on my iphone. I enabled local files in my spotify settings and then tried a lot of things, and during one of them I found that in my "Files" app, under "On My iPhone" a folder named Spotify appeared, and once I added my audio files to that folder, they showed up in a "Local Files" playlist on my Spotify app. To get my audio files from my computer to my phone, I added all of them to a folder on my Google Drive (if you hate/dont have google, it would also work with other cloud based storage) and downloaded them from there to my phone's Files, from there moving them to the "Spotify" folder. I really hope this also works for those of you out there who cant figure it out.

Thank you for the vid, it works for all but one of my files. This file plays on laptop just fine and it shows as downloaded on spotify mobile but when I try to play it on mobile, it gives me an error saying Song Not Downloaded, if you own this song, you can sync it from your computer. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Spotify and following your tutorial to get it to work with no luck. Anyone have experience with this?

How do i do if i have a Mac and have OS instead of Windows!??

I still can't get this to work. The song and the playlist shows up in my library, but when I download it and click on it to play it, it says "Song Not Downloaded - If you own the song, you can sync it from your computer." I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.
