Must have replayed this sequence a hundred times the week it aired. Also faintly sounds like an owl when Bob/Leland sobbing. Ronette's arms floating is like a basic hypnosis technique. Sound is amazing.

I am not a fan of revisionism, but I'm also not terribly bothered by these changes. The face-ripping sound effect is just goofy. Most of these have no real impact, but it's baffling why they would be removed/changed.

Makes you wonder who was responsible for these ridiculous alterations. Name and shame him! Seriously. People should be dragged for these screw-ups. I’m guessing these won’t be fixed for the new 4K, but it’ll probably have the mono. Was the original theatrical release mono-only?

I found this scene and its depiction of the murder of Laura to be better than the depiction of it in the movie. Less is shown so it's more terrifying. What's terrifying about Laura's gaze, is that we can't see what she's looking at but can only imagine what it is that she sees through her eyes at us. This effect is impossible when too much is shown of the circumstances of the killing.
