I've never done any good from the bank with a south wind. I'm just hoping to catch a couple little ones 😅. It's always been exciting to watch your videos. But this one. @randymiller5008 Hey bro. That would be fun. Suppose to be up there now. Having surgery Monday. Cancer came back. Have to get my voice box and tongue removed, and will be breathing through a hole in my neck from now on. Also a feeding tube cause I won't be able to eat or speak anymore. Doctors say they do these all the time and people are still able to have a decent quality of life. He said I will still be able to go fishing too! Just praying to get past this and be able to spend time with my family. When I recover enough and get stronger, I'm sure I will be figuring out how to put out some decent fishing videos!.....lol. Please keep me in prayer 🙏

@chrisdyer2431 Hey bro, thanks for watching! I use a 6'10" rod, med to med light power, and fast to extra fast action. The rod I use is more fast in action, even though it's supposed to be extra fast. It has a nice bend down into the blank, but still has enough backbone to land the occasional sheepshead....lol. The reel is a 2500, and 8lb test braid, but 10lb test would be good too. Thanks again, and don't forget to like, share, subscribe! 😊

@randymiller5008 Hey bro. It's a g loomis gcx 822s dsr (drop shot rod) paired with a 2024 shimano vanford 2500. It's a medium action rod, 6-12 lb test. It's extra fast, which gives it a very sensitive tip, especiallywith braid, but to me, I think it's more on the fast side with enough bend to allow the 1oz sinkers to stay on the bottom good when the boat is rocking. Got these so I can pull double duty when bass fishing and walleye drop shot. Has enough backbone to move larger fish. Did you see the 7.5 lb sheepshead? That thing had my drag screaming! Lol. Thr drag on those reels have the new shimano cross carbon drag, which is their new drag material. Suppose to be smoothest most durable drag they make. It handles well. I was impressed. A perch rod doesn't need to be pricey though. Any rod with braided line will be more than enough!

​@@livebig247I just got a new Perch rod set up today. I used 8lb Power Pro Super Slick line. Hopefully it'll be tuff enough for the occasional Sheephead 😆🎣✌️

When I was going out the day before, I was going out towards the cans based on the recommendation from one of the tackle stores called Hi-Way bait and tackle. On my way out, I stopped short because the sonar screen was lit up on the bottom in 21 fow. Turned out to be a good area. It doesn't really make sense to me because I have alot of testing to do yet. I've never been through this before. Can they tell if you have Cancer just from a Blood test ???
