The real performance of this piano concerto comes at the hands of Cristina Ortiz. Sorry, but Ms. Wang falls very short, here. She's a world-class pianist, but she does not understand this piano concerto at all. This entire performance is shallow. Too bad for Maestro Nezet-Seguin; he, too, fails to understand Shostakovich in this performance. The orchestra and piano at times are almost totally uncoordinated.
