As a person who's "seen" original Deus Ex but never actually played it, I would rather play this than a full remake. I think a remake would take away from the tone and the atmosphere. That huge foggy open space with the city in the background? That looks dope af - crisp, clean, dark and atmospheric. I doubt it's achievable in the same way with modern graphics.

This game really needs a remaster, I have no idea why they didn't did it yet. Even though you are really working hard on this, I must agree with the comment below. This games need better psychics, gun play has to be better and other mechacins. Even 2010 level graphics, with modern combat, psychics and such would make a good remake

Maybe it's time to improve THE PHYSICS at last??? I don't care about 'graaaphiiics'. I need interactivity, destructible everything, physics, better sfx without repetition, BETTER AI PLEASE (???), immersion.

you're better off re-making this with new assets rather than porting it to a new engine, no matter what you'll do it won't look good this way

This game's writing is so difficult.

There's so much more work to do. I would slightly increase the brightness of the global illumination, there are too many completely dark corners, it looks ugly.

this game was incredible because it can run on tetris with high quality a nd now you want me to use the shitty UE5 with those ugly huge UI's it has? also i need a top VC to render all those shadows? no thanks, i stick with the good old ue1. offence meant.

I love how all he did was improve the graphics but kept the hud and sound effects the same, i hate when mods change the whole game, here its just the graphics which is perfect(jc looking almost identifcal to the default one is also great)

Man, that distance fog and light scattering around lights is all that's needed to bring new life into this level. It's like the perfect fusion of old janky nostalgia in a new age. Very nice!

I'm hoping some day deus ex (2000) will look like modern games today made with UE5. A complete graphics overhaul of this game is long overdue.

This will take you 10 years. Convert DE1 assets. Make the game playable, and then start working on enhancements. Go look for funding/help then.

I laughed so hard when Paul ran up just as you had the garbage bag, and the dialogue entry made it look like you hurriedly threw it away like you weren't up to anything weird 😆
