Ok that chorus is probably the biggest Incubus ripoff Ive ever heard. Especially since Nowhere Fast came out 4 years prior to this.

With such a level of musicianship it is a shame they were not more popular in the States. I've found maybe fifteen people that have heard of them in my long career of enjoying the arts. Terrible. I want to smack some people. Wake them up to bands that craft their own music. Epic and personal. Durn it. Come back to us Oceansize...Ah..nothing like a pint of ale to let loose the ranting. watching this on MTV when it came out was my introduction to Oceansize. I was hooked straight away. NOBODY does it better indeed. oh and does anyone know if Oceansize ever played Oscar Acceptance Speech live?

Metallica is space rock. And space rock is a stupid name for a musical genre. And GIAA seems to make music called post rock - another stupid name.

They were really really good and reminds me a bit of norways motorpsycho. I dont think you can tell what kind of music this is. But it IS prog, that`s for sure!

There's also a lot of Chris Cornell in the vocals, and a touch of Soundgarden overall. I think Oceansize are not much influenced by anything post 1997. They just happen to have a similar take on certain aspects of composition as some other bands that were also influenced by new wave, electro and grunge.

@zancudero took me a while to respond. no.. i am NOT kidding. This band may be on 'another level' .. but this sounds like incubus. there is no denying it.

@zancudero there is some sound similarity on this song so i tend to agree with his comment. also, incubus are very good band as well :) no need to say who is better or worse. i can hear a bit of mike patton in the vocals at the start too

@zancudero there are a few similarities between this song's chorus and the chorus in 'Nowhere Fast' by Incubus, i can see where he'd be coming from.

@lambdatempest you are kidding, please dont compare this amazing post progressive rock with incubus, cuz oceansize are in another level of music
