hi there. just about it. i'm a bit confused about the freedom panel passenger-side: on 46:15 there is still some sealing rubber from the original sealing on the left edge. on the next scene 46:25 this part is suddenly gone. do we really need to cut off parts from the original sealing rubber???

How can I get the kit?

Have just purchased this kit and reading this thread saw this question asked but not responded to. Why does the rear glass have the tape side to the outside and flap side inside when everywhere has been the opposite? I would also like to know before installing please. many thanks

Folks, today a huge rain storm came through. I just checked 5 minutes ago, and there was not a drop of water on either side of my wife’s Jeep. I have confirmed that the correct way to apply this product is to apply it the way the first portion of this video shows. Then, when you get below the black door strap, follow the inner edge down, and as you make that curve down to the horizontal foot path, stick it on the top, maybe leaving 8th. of an inch exposed on the inner part of the bottom panel. Do not, I repeat, do not route it low at that part, like the video shows. The water travels down and gets in by the bottom of the door, about 8 to 10 inches from where the curve straightens out below the door strap. I wish I could upload a couple of pictures here to show, but just follow what the video shows down to the middle of the curve and do what I said from the mid-curve forward above the foot board part. I think the first guy does it the correct way, then he says to move it down because the feet would hit it. I glued a little bit, about 6 inches, right after the curve of the door panel. I hope I didn’t confuse anyone.

I have posted couple of comments to the effect, this didn’t work for me. Since there are a lots of gasket, I tried different application options. I believe I may have solved the problem I was having. I took off the gasket I first applied following the instructions from the edited version of this video. Then I reapplied like this guy is showing. When you get to the bottom foot pillar, don’t divert down, stay on top straight back. One problem with that is, when you close the door, the gasket gets bent up and water leaks in at that spot. So, I just glued it down so the whole rubber gasket hugs the bottom part. I just had a big rain fall this morning and I found zero water inside. Hope it will last.

You need to buy a phone that has image stabilization…… my head hurts from watching that video.

I’ll admit when i first heard him say “proprietary secret reflexive gasket system”,my mind began racing.I encountered my passenger side leak over the winter however didn’t realize just how bad it was since the rubber Jeep mat was disguising the water buildup.So I’m gonna do the initial inspection to determine if i need to go further.Thanks.. My first impressions from watching though are positive since it’s thoroughly being explained which many others don’t.

Yup I’m definitely going to have to get this. One question would it be better to go under the mucket seal I think is what they are called (the black rubber pieces in the corners and bend of the door) in case they get messed up down the road and you need to replace them? I have a 2016 jku in mint condition only 47k miles just got last year and noticed last week rear floor soaked. Haven’t figured out where it came in yet but still keep should have done this years ago. I think mine could be the seal on the corner of the door where they joined the molded piece to the straight door seal to make the corner the joint is starting to separate.

You should update the video to show these products instead of the other . Also if your buying in bulk the price should come down from $200

I can't say enough positive things about this product and the AWESOME customer service. I installed the gaskets for the entire 2017 JK Jeep and it fixed every leak, to include the freedom panels. I rent out my Jeep via Turo and many customers remove the panels to enjoy the open-air feeling. Unfortunately, the PS panel is now leaking again, due to improper installation via my renters. I contacted the company and spoke with Tony. What a great guy!!! He's helped me to troubleshoot my leaks and is sending me out enough gasket material to replace my passenger side panel. Hi guys, today i did the complete install on my jeep. Only the rear window won´t hold the gasket in place. It falls of every few inches. I cleaned it with break cleaner before installing the gasket. Any ideas or tips for this problem? Great product by the way. I love it!

Well, we had rain last night as part of the rainstorm that came through. Right now I am in my Jeep and water is on passenger and driver side floor. I will sort it out when it gets warmer out.

Can this be used with the Sunrider for hardtop & Sunrider soft top. I have water that seems to be coming down the inside of the A Frame Inside Windshield molding. The foam seal gets too much water in it and leaks.

I guess I have to believe you, when you say, you never heard it before, because I can not hear it for you. The dealer has a guy who comes around once a week or twice a month fixing jeep leaks when it’s under warranty. It’s not the top that is leaking. The leaks are happening from the door crack.

Just installed this last night. Leaks appear to be at the sound bar area, so hopefully this will solve it
