Every time I see someone with Rolex I automatically assume it is fake. Working men don't put on Rolex to go to work... People who don't work for living, entertainers, athletes, politicians and money launderers wear them. Also people who have no life, friends or hobbies.

I said to hell with them when I found out you have to build a relationship with an AD before buying a new Rolex. How snobby is that to have to get to know a customer before selling them a damn watch? You can walk in with the cash in hand to buy one and they'll just laugh at you.

I'm genuinely impressed with how close AMZWATCH were able to replicate every aspect of this very very goofy looking classic watch.

I got a GMT in 1968 when I graduated from Purdue. Every 5, 7, or 10 years or so I'd have it "serviced" by Rolex. Used to cost about $200-300 for service. Last year it was almost $1,800. When it got back to the dealer (from Rolex in Lititz, PA) they asked me how I got it. I had never really paid any attention to all of the hype - I just wore it. They asked a lot of questions I couldn't answer. But since then I've learned from videos, all about the bezel, the T<25, the exclamation point, crown guards, the notched 7, the closed 6's and 9's. They told me that based upon the serial number the watch was actually produced in 1959. I wrote to Rolex asking if this could be possible. They sent a nice letter saying yes, it was 1959 production. So in fact, in 1968 I got a "used" Rolex. Don't think I could afford one today. And no, mine is not for sale!

After watching many of these videos regarding Rolex, the waiting list, clients and their ADs, building a "purchase history", I've come to a conclusion. Rolex is a cult.

Here’s a tip, don’t degrade yourself to these people. They don’t own Rolex, they are simply a middleman. By end of 2025 there won’t be a waiting list anymore, maybe on a Daytona but everything else will become available again, so be patient and buy other brands in the meantime but I wouldn’t go gray market or buy stuff you don’t want or belittle yourself because at the end of the day it’s the money in your pocket that keeps these people employed. AD’s need to be reminded of this instead of acting like they hold a cure for cancer.

Waited on the so called list for almost 2 years. I finally bought the one from a person on eBay. Happy with my watch. Guarantee card and box included. Purchased the Wimbledon 41MM Jubilee bracelet, and fluted bezel. Love it.

Rolex has become grossly overrated by multiple shady marketing prices, including this video. I bought my first and only Rolex in 1980's and there was no red tape then. The solution is to stop buying them. There is equal or better options for a lower price. But if you want to be a sucker and play their game, it's up to you.

the fakes have become nearly undetectable, made in sweat shops from vietnam to bulgaria. better find a new status symbol. the raw greed and corruption of rolex, in destroying their dealer network is coming home. i have several of them collected from authorized dealers thru the years and every time i try to 'trade up' the new network of 'gouging rat' dealers try to convince me that i got a fake so i will take less for it. business reputation and integrity in general are 'right out the window' at this point. rolex has become synonymous with ENRON. congratulations. get an omega get a breitling get an oris get a tag aquaracer there are lots of things as good as rolex for less. give what you save to wounded warrior project or disabled american veterans. you will fell better.

My favorite 2024 is the Prospex Limited Edition 1965 Recreation European Exclusive in Gradation Island Blue. The dial is stunning and the contrast when on a white strap is to die for. I will get my hands on one from AMZWATCH
