doom 3 was the best horror game ever when i was a kid. scared the shit out of me and formed my love for the horror genre. the way the flashlights worked and the darkness were cutting edge at the time. will always be the best doom for me.

So this is the remaster of the original (the real) Doom 3? Not the BFG edition? The BFG edition I think ruined Doom 3, they did away with so many of the horror elements that made the original Doom 3 scary. (just my opinion of course)

Im curious how this can be 100% and extended - when it doesnt even have the early sequences of Rons house throwing the goblins and the scene where harry is ending up in Borgin and burkes?

I wish the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th games were remade using Unreal Engine 5 with all the new technologies available and of course scrupulously recreated Hogwarts castle which you could explore and enjoy simply walking there and finding unexpected hidden items/rooms

What version of the game is this?? I played the ps1 and ps2 versions. Chamber of Secreta was always my fav movie and book of the series and the games too.

It's crazy how this was recommended to me. I was rewatching Chamber of Secrets yesterday.

I love doom 3. It has a great atmosphere. I found doom eternal to be boring and it had to be played a certain way. Don't get me wrong, it looked lovely but I found it repetitive and boring. Doom 3 oozed with horror and atmosphere with a fun story. I'd pick d3 over eternal any day.

Damn I remember being so thrilled when I noticed the title screen is live and more animated than the static one in the first game before being completely blown away when the camera just panned away into a fully animated intro cutscene!!! These games were my first introduction to video games 🥲

I played this game so much, when I'm sad, or bored, I just close my eyes and hear the music as I walk in the castle, feeling the softness of the carpets and coldness of the stones, casting spells everywhere. Outside of my head, in the real world, I also whisper "Alohomora" whenever I see a stone-closed window in a building😅

I remember being asked on Christmas Day back in 2000/2001 if I wanted this as a Game Boy Color game or as a PC Game. After much deliberation, and a LOT of convincing from my father, I went with the PC Game. No regrets, this game is always fun to return to.
