Nice job! Do you know of wing reservoirs kits for the Nynja ?
Nynja LS is not a Skyranger..
Useful video Mark. I have made notes 👍👍👍
Very clear. Good photography as well.
I think Giles was trying to find some OM-15 to sniff. Ideas for future video's. I think variety on this sort of channel is key. As well as anything else you cover, I think minor maintenance tasks that any pilot should be able to carry out are good. Example, what should a spark plug look like, what to do if it's not quite right.
i like the frame but now i want to see the wing
aluminum foil could be the ticket for the size
flying therough the air at 60 mph nobody will notice if the body is a little crooked
5:33 favorite line....
all good there's no corrosion you're never gonna die in it ....
in the old days the planes were cloth and the men were like steel , and they thought the plane made the dogfighter but now they know it's the man of steel flying from the clouds like "AAAAAAAAAAAARGH!" with whatever weapons or his fists , from an any plane too

What a team keep up the great work
Amazing video and amazing work too - marvelous team and aeroplane👍✌️💜😊 We built an early Kitfox back in the day (its still flying), it was a bittersweet experience too🤔🤕😉
Thanks for you kind words, it was so much fun to build I’d recommend it to anyone
Golf Foxtrot asks questions….😂. But seriously, good video of the Darley Moor team! Also, very well done job on this gorgeous plane!
He has his uses, we’re very fortunate to have an amazing team and still growing, hard work was worth while
Lovely video, a lot of pride and satisfaction exudes from the builders, an achievement to be remembered and enjoyed by you all. Well done. 👍👍
Thanks GED 👍🏻
Some many minor mods, it must have been a real laugh getting it approved with the BMAA.
Yes there was lots of paperwork, questions and more paperwork, but worth it
@@wingnutshomeofmicromainten6946 alway worth it and once you get to the 2nd mod the others are easy to add 🙂
I'm currently building one of those 😊😊😊
Awesome 👍🏻
I can't wait to take part in the raffle. Lol. I hope I win! Great plane folks. Nice to hear even the Pro's have challenges! Well done
Yes this one definitely had its moments.
subtle.
Normal is boring 👍🏻
What a wonderful machine, very ‘ razzmatazz’ 😅. The cockpit / panel looks amazing 🤩. Well done to all the team 👊🏼
The cockpit was lots of fun, there’s things in there that even we have forgotten, but yes very happy with the outcome
Needs a pic uploaded to Jetphotos! Looks amazing. Can't wait to see it when I'm next at DM
I’ll take a look at Jetphotos, I’m surprised you e not seen it already, you can’t miss it! Ha
@@wingnutshomeofmicromainten6946 when someone clicks on the aircraft when it is visible on Flightradar24, it will link to a pic from Jetphotos if it has one I think
What a great video, it’s really nice to see a professional team effort. Amassing focused staff with such a positive can do attitude. Well done. David Nash.
I/we really appreciate this David, thanks for you kind words 👍🏻
What a beautiful machine and seeing it now compared to a couple of years ago is mind-blowing. Congratulations to everyone involved, you can clearly see its birth from everyone's involvement.
It’s a part of our history and the flagship of MM
Bravo👏👍
Thanks Pat 👍🏻
What a fantastic machine and a real showcase of what you guys are capable of. I think all flying machines are cool, but some are just way cooler than others. I've seen JKSN come together and the end result is simply stunning and way more than the sum of it's parts. Great video as well.
Thanks Paul, you’ve watched this being built from when it turned up did it meet expectations then?
I like the look of Kanardia, and i like that they arent US owned, you can also set altitude to metres. Look forward to trying their products here in AUS. Thanks for the vid.
More than happy to share and recommend. I like the Kanardia range , good kit, great service
Glad you managed to get everything sorted out, and my simpler single panel setup should be a straightforward fit after that lot :)
Here is living in hope ha
Really enjoyed the video, I’m afraid I was lost with Cambus and programming, I understood prop pitch. You have the patience of a saint. Job well done and you will remember for next time. 👍👍
It can get very complicated very quickly, but the learning curve is quite steep. Prop was an irritating but common problem unfortunately… fingers crossed my retention skills remain high 😬
Looking at your programing fun is why I like the old steam guages 🙂Would probably be easier as a first user. 🙂 The reboot in flight would drive me mad, it is bad enough when the iPad goes blank but that is why I use maps as primary and Sky Demon as back up but I have conseeded to one electronic instrument, a MGL for the engine, which if it fails is no a emediate end of the world.
My default is also Old school, give me a map any day… BUT, this was very impressive I’d say we used about 20% of its capabilities
@@wingnutshomeofmicromainten6946like many computer systems, there are too many bells and whistles, that have no place with the ordinary pilot, we need to keep their heads looking out, not whatthe trend has been for maintaining heading over the last half hour. That said some you can record / recall engine and flight trends, so when we come to service, we can see the pilot over speeded the flaps or did not let the engine get to temp.
Yes big brother does have its place, I’ve developed a number of systems that would record “black box” Style including voice and visual but feel that it would be more beneficial to the insurance companies than the pilots or maintenance
@@wingnutshomeofmicromainten6946yo are probably right, so KISS comes in and steam it is for me 🙂
@@wingnutshomeofmicromainten6946 I'm currently working on an experimental using a motec dash for data recording, but if kanardia is able to record engine parameters for engine tuning and troubleshooting, that would make it easier. So having many channels/inputs are a good thing for the right person.
Great video Mark. Just wondering how much time did you have to spend with owner to give him the knowledge to work the EFIS, and associated instruments. 👌👌
The user interface is actually very easy to use and self explanatory, but we spoke throughout the build so I know he was doing his research prior to delivery. We also offer after sales support but fortunately he’s not called yet. 👍🏻
Wow Mark How far have we come from MK1 eyeball and seat of the pants flying… ? Gizmos and great when they work, and you made it work! 👏👏👏 so patience IS a virtue…
Amazing advancements but yes still Mk1 for me. It was a challenge I won’t lie but good fun once I’d figured it all out.
Great video .. couple months late . Thought I watch this before the latest one. The carbon fibre panel looks great. Definitely need more content from your channel. Would love to see general videos on maintenance. What you as pilot can do and what you need to get done by inspector . If that makes sense 👍
The joys of YT they’re easy to watch in any order. Thanks for taking the time too 👍🏻 It’s difficult to film everything we do and time consuming to edit but we do try to capture as much as we can. We’ve some great videos coming out over the next few weeks. And always happy for suggestions 👍🏻
haha, I knew this Skyranger when previous owner had it, kept telling him prop pitch was wrong, also told Matt not to go with glass panel
I’ve never seen one THAT out, I do quite like that PFD though 🤔
Loved that. Technical stuff lost me a bit (I’m quite simple!) but was back with you at prop pitch stuff. Love the flying segments interspersed with the spannering. Great stuff team Micro. 👍
I’ll admit, the tech on this lost me a few times too. I enjoyed doing some actual vlogging, passed the time too
Well if anyone can sort the problems, get it to work and provide top customer service it's you and the people of Micro Maintenance. Great video Mark.
You’re to kind Nat 👍🏻
Blimey! How much was the invoice for that job?
Competitive. It’s not the easiest of jobs unfortunately
Great video mate. Love the carbon dash. 8 would like to see aircraft reviews don't forget flexwings though 😁
Thanks for the compliments, I think reviewing is going to be a thing, and don’t worry, as a die hard flex’er there will definitely be Flexwings 👍🏻
Hi Mark, nice video. Where did you get the metal wheel trolleys the Skyranger was sat on at the beginning please, as I could do with some for my new Nynja when it's finished to move it around on?
We actually make those in house, one man lift makes moving planes around very easy. Email Office@microaviation.co.uk and Michelle will sort you out 👍🏻
@@wingnutshomeofmicromainten6946 Thanks, I'll send an email. I had thought of making some myself, but it would be just another job to do and I have loads of other jobs on the go.
You guys did a great job, looked awesome, yet CF being glossy concerns me in terms of reflections. Sage advice on choosing the correct systems💜👍✌️😊 I'd love to see reviews on various fixed wing microlights 👍✌️😊
Yes was an initial concern too, but we cut so much out there really isn’t a huge amount of dash left. Also in comparison with the standard/original there really wasn’t a huge amount of difference in terms of glossiness. Yes there is a great choice of fixed wing Microlights & SLA’s going back too the old school machines, I think I’m talking myself in to it.
@@wingnutshomeofmicromainten6946 Re your first point - understood and it'll be stronger too (than grp etc). Not an easy task to pull off - I've rewired cars and bikes, added new stuff and that's challenging enough, requires meticulous thought and execution. There are, as you mentioned, lots of cracking FW MLs, vintage to modern, any that pass through your workshop would be welcome viewing. There are channels that do similar with GA in the US, but tbh they are sales organisations, albeit one-man-bands so to speak. It depends on time and inclination of course 💜✌️😊
Love all of your videos Mark, especially impressed by the fastidious way you approach every job you undertake. You asked for ideas for future videos, love the aircraft reviews idea you mentioned but would also be fascinating to see the process involved in restoring crash or weather damaged aircraft … oh, and could you make a video on how to apply vinyl wraps and detailing to aircraft?
That’s very kind of you, we do take huge pride in what we do and it’s great to see it when it all comes together. We do have episodes lined up on graphics and crash re builds, so stay tuned 👍🏻
Great video Mark, very trying but I bet it’s rewarding once done, you can see the results of your efforts. It would be good to hear your reviews of other craft. I hope the business grows. 🤞🤞👍
Yes as with all jobs everything runs smoothly until it doesn’t, then all bets are off and you see where you end up. This one was a head scratcher for sure but very happy with the outcome come. I think plane reviews are likely by the looks of it
Aircraft reviews would certainly be interesting, identification of aircraft good for newly qualified fliers, progressing toward machines that are for the more experienced aviator who want to develop. Failing that just what you're doing now, it's all good stuff and I personally really enjoy it.
Totally agree, I found it really difficult when buying my first machine, I hadn’t a clue. Would be nice to offer our thoughts for what they are worth
And you’ve got one too, a great review of the first classic 912 ? And a great cruiser of the sky 👍
Quantum 912 please 👌
Definitely, fantastic machine
Plane reviews great idea Mark maybe some tips on what to look for when buying your first ship also.
I quite like the idea, definitely include what to look for, I could be the most hated man in Microlighting
@@wingnutshomeofmicromainten6946🤣🤣
I’ve been an Electronics Tech for nearly 50 years. It’s always scary trying to interface machines from different manufacturers for the first time. It sounds as though the manufacturer either mislabeled the polarity, or correctly labeled it and miswired it. Neither is a good scenario. Good job wiring that unit! Looks great!
It was definitely a challenge, looks simple until it goes wrong
@@wingnutshomeofmicromainten6946 I’ve been in that situation nearly daily in my career. Glad to be retired.
Nice. Looks like you confirmed Gile’s theory that electrickery runs on smoke!! Yes from me on aircraft reviews. Comparing and contrasting similar types would be very useful content. 👍
Not a good day when you let the blue smoke out
On the VNE dive, how close do you come to VNE?
Normally I would try and achieve VNE, but for a check flight you need to be within 5
Nice job Mark and crew!
Thanks Tim 👍🏻
