Where can you purchase the 1/16 scale Megatron conversion kit for the Heng Long Challenger II rc tank?
I don’t know how to do it, but I was thinking about the old shooting gallery at the state fair and how you’d shoot an ir receiver and a pneumatic pump or something would trigger something fun. I was wondering if you could make an interactive diorama the same way. Like a small, wrecked village with AT positions and what not and you’d shoot them and then a little air mortar would blast out a bunch of flour and tiny foam bricks to make a scale explosion. Would be cool. Don’t know how to make it.
Would be so cool to have a walla track of muffled chatter like you’re hearing the tank crew bullshitting from the outside.

I wish the bushmaster fired slower on this model. Instead of a tikatikatika it’s more of a poom.poom.poom. The sound and cadence of it currently is more like the coax.

@@americanpatriot2422 Still waiting for somebody to pick up their line of Dodge 4x4 and 6x6 trucks, but I'm guessing that the licencing is the sticking point.
@americanpatriot2422 I did enjoy the 109 and the huey. I was not a fan of the harrier, but you can judge the ones i made they are on the channel. :)

The only other thing I would say is that when you have painted your crew kit etc you should give them a coat of Tamiya ‘ flat’ varnish it’s brilliant - sorry no it’s anything but brilliant it’s flat!
If you read the instructions you will find how to adjust the volume, the button with the V is basically the on off button for the sound. It’s completely different from the older versions. Worth studying the instructions as you will find other control features you didn’t know you had. Having said all that, I have no idea what the tank is using for a it’s main control board, the fact that it’s using what looks like the standard HL series 6 transmitter would be an indication that it’s using the same 6 series board, it would be nice to know.

Asking for help... can you tell me exact what size hex wrench needed to remove road wheels? Are they standard or metric? I tried removing them but was afraid to strip those screws as they are very tight; I am trying to use a metric wrench with difficulty. Please advise.
I can't remember the size but they were metric
@@Bengineeringprojects ... thanks a bunch, I was just afraid to strip them for putting on metal running gears. I am a former Cav guy and have been waiting for this model for a long, long time. I aim to treat it like a model, putting on anti-skid surfaces, cutting out those molded in handles on the skirts with wire ones, etc. i'll be spending alot of time on this new model; just wish it has 360 turret rotation.
@@Bengineeringprojects ... and all those external luggage n gears looked like just lumps of ill molded plastic so I'll either 'reculpt' all those gears with sharper outlines or simple made new ones completely!

@@cav1stlt922 you can retrofit it to 360 by adding slip ring and cut new teeth in the blank area. Good luck.

Great review, and I'm inspired to delve into Merritt kits after your review. Looks like the 88mm is being towed to the Armor museum at Bovington. So, the truck doesn't seem out of place at all.

There's still hope for this model, Elmod board and a decent Modelspiegel gearbox should make it a champion
I have never used an elmod board are they any good ? Yes this does have alot of potential
@Bengineeringprojects out there with the best, if not the best, lots of programmable parameters, 30amps for motors, you should give it a look but it's in the 200$ price range just a heads up
