Congrats! Marvelous interpretation! My best recognition from Brazil !
I thought this was such a fresh performance. First encounter with this pianist. Can’t wait to discover more.
BRAVO-where have you been all my life, you genius???
fine, expressive playing, thank you!
Beautiful!
It sounds as if you knew Clara - thank you very much, a great performance.
Marvelous
Lovely. The more I see hands playing the more I like it. Thanks
So beautiful! Thank you !
Youtuvbe AI led me here and how thankful I am. What a gorgeous performamce. Absolutely beautiful!
What an awesome talent and I want to thank YOU TUBE for presenting here to the world
Beautiful little gems
Her voicing and control is gorgeous
Clara was better known than her husband before he was famous Clara was the woman who had to step back because she was a woman Glad her music survived
Você tem direito a viver em seu mundo.
Exquisite and lyrical playing.
Her flow is amazing
What a fantastic pianist, and first and foremost, MUSICIAN. I am ashamed to say I never heard of you before hearing this video, so shall be searching for more!! Thanks for this recording of these wonderful pieces, too.
Beautiful playing of beautiful music. Stately and serene and well articulated.
Amazingly beautiful- I love it
Lovely! Did Robert influence Clara, or did Clara influence Robert?? Or was it mutual?
Whoever has seen Michelle Cann live knows how incredibly talented and musically gifted she is. Absolutely wonderful and without a question a musical hero. There’s not many pianists that are like her. Plus the fun and playful mimic give that music such a personal experience
Very, very beautiful playing! I wasn't familiar with this Opus but it certainly sounds like the namesake. I liked what you had to say. Regards.
Great pianist, thank you for sharing this emotional music!
Bravo! 🎉
What a delightful masterpiece! It's so passionate, with a style seemingly (at least to me) somewhere between Chopin and Rachmaninov, with modern accents of the late American Rachmaninov. I also love your interpretations of Price's more jazzy pieces. Thank you so much Michelle, for bringing this so talented composer to my ear! May you keep enlighten us with such a heavy music. All the best!
Excellent performance! Fun fact: the Price Concerto in One Movement consists of three movements.
IM IN LOVE WITH IT SOOO MUCH THANK YOU FOR RECORDING THESE WONDERFUL PIECES! BEST INTERPRETATION IVE HEARD SO FAR ❤❤
I really love that e-flat at 4:31, very subtle but adds wonderful colour to the interpretation
Her sense of timing is comically and emotionally the best I have heard in a long time reminds me of 20 century
What a lovely performance of Brahms' Ballad in D! Warm, powerful, precise... all perfectly put together!
Wow, incredible playing! I’ve never heard a transcription arranged by this composer before. I’ll check out to see what other piano pieces Schulz-Elaver has. Such sensitive playing with a vast range of expression and color.
The Allemande is not less perfectly played than Lipatti (my hero), meaning it's perfect! That said my pet peeve with all the pianists I've heard is that play it a bit too fast ... ua-cam.com/video/K3GRJh8Klvo/v-deo.html
❤
A thorouthly musical performance played with weight and sensitivity. I am proud of her.
Amazing playing
Michelle - this is beautiful. I love the phrasing, it feels like you are telling a story - effortlessly, and yet the story is filled with drama and passion. Thank you!
🎉
Lovely all the way around. It doesn't get better than this.
Yes my girl! Damn! I mean what…? No way! Get outa here with that! Da Bomb !
A genuine Phenom!
Her musicality puts her in a class by herself. That's the Ballade that I've been dreaming of.
This is not a technical exercise like you make it sound
I did not find the Sarabande to be technical. It was sincere and heartfelt. Indeed, it was beautifully played!
@@StewartMNash it may be heartfelt and sincere however my comment is objectively correct. The phrasing is rigid and is not shaped by the harmony, and the character is not appropriate for the dances. Heartfelt and sincere doesn’t mean that it is stylistically appropriate or well played.
You are a sincere musician with an artistic soul. I really enjoy listening to your performance.
Wow! Michelle Cann, I love your Chopin piano story 😢😊❤
Fantastic !🎉
Michele, my feeling is that the first appearance of the theme is a bit too heavy to present the ideal contrast with the third. I believe the purpose of the right hand measures at 5:50 is to build constant tension that releases into true Dionysian fury in the final appearance of the theme. I believe that all of the ballades are emotional journeys through conflicting emotions and the central interpretative exercise in each ballade is how to balance the appearance of the themes.
❤ one of my favorite by her Bravo🎉
fantastic performance! cannot wait to hear more chopin interpretation!!
Beautiful performance ❤ I am so glad that Florence Price's works are performed by excellent diaspora's pianists 🤗❤️🙏🏽🕊️🎹
I must say I loved every moment of this piece. I studied and played this piece 20 years ago and recognized so many areas where Ms. Cann demonstrated what my teacher was trying to get across to me. Wonderful phrasing and I love the tempo. I just "discovered" her on UA-cam two weeks ago and I love everything she does. Her playing style reminds me some of the great late Jorge Bolet. I'm now a big fan of Ms. Cann's playing. Check out her Schultz-Evler "Blue Danube" and her Brahms Ballade 10 #2. Superb playing.
