      No. Never did. Someone mentioned running a firmware update, which I did. I tested it afterward, and it seemed to have made things better, but since then, the issue has returned. Unit stops at about 30%. I have made certain to put a fresh charge on the box monthly as per the instructions. The main problem is the lack of customer support 🙄. Otherwise, I dig the box. Serves my needs...upto 30%. 🥺.

      @@aaron_tassin I also updated the firmware and ran the battery down until the unit shut off. Now, it charges to 100%. I think taking the battery down to "0%" reset the BMS somehow.

    No filters are needed. Just pour the wine off the sediment several times as it forms. Strong cooling helps well, some brewers freeze it into ice. Precipitating substances give good results.

      You can do the same process he just did and put a balloon over top of the end of the jug and pop just a little pinhole in the end of the balloon so when pressure builds up to a certain point it can escape, hope that helps !

      During and after the fermentation process I keep the product in these clear glass gallon jugs. Clear jugs should be kept in a dark, or at least shaded, place. I will drink the wine from the same jug used in production. Keep in mind, the more you drink, the less you need to store 😄.

    Hi Aaron, you made apple vine as a first step; but when you trasfered it to another bottle without filling it to the top (in order to prevent it from having contact with air) and especially since you left the cap loose (so the air can go in) I believe that your end product was vinegar.

    • @iridios6127
      @iridios6127 2 місяці тому

      There is still a quiet fermentation going on there, and carbon dioxide does not allow oxygen to pass through loose cap.

    • @aaron_tassin
      @aaron_tassin 2 місяці тому

      Yes...I should have added the cap needs to be tight. Mostly there is still a little action going on. But you bring up a good point. I have reintroduced juice to the product to take up the air gap. I personally prefer to have a dry apple wine, and adding juice makes it sweeter, but as you point out - better than a near gallon of vinegar 😀.

    • @aaron_tassin
      @aaron_tassin 2 місяці тому

    I would have waited til the primary fermentation settled out. Usually takes about 6ish weeks for me. Then cold crashed it in the fridge for a week then transferred to secondary fermentation and checked on it in a couple weeks and go from there and see if it needs to be racked again. Maybe you can test that theory and see if you it helps you getting your product

    Hey Aaron, awesome video! I have been looking for something like this for a couple months now. My thing is, if my wallet isn't with my keys and other stuff when I leave the house then I will forget it. I would love to implament this so my phone would let me know I left my wallet behind. Something I was wondering is, does the beeping when you press the side button on the smart tag activate a lot with it being compressed inside your wallet, or when you sit down? Thanks for your time.

    • @aaron_tassin
      @aaron_tassin 2 місяці тому

      There is a leave-behind mode in the Find All. Toggle setting. If the tag and phone are some X distance apart, the app will alert the app on the phone. Neat stuff. I have never had an issue with the tag button activating - say by sitting on the wallet. You really need to be intentional in pressing it.

    IF you keep the little cap on that came on the end of your autosiphon, it will keep the tip of the siphon off the gunk and not allow the actual tip to come in contact with the sediment. The end cap is not for tip protection, but rather to keep it off the lees.

    • @aaron_tassin
      @aaron_tassin 2 місяці тому

      Yes I see that. It does seem to be designed to keep the end out of the sediment. But, I have found the siphon is often strong enough to suck it up anyway. I try to keep the tip just above it. Good observation.
