Broken PVC Toilet Flange Repair
Repairing a broken PVC toilet flange with a new flange before tiling - old flange had broken around the ring and was allowing the toilet to rock and possibly leak - but the old PVC flange was glued to the inside of the 4” PVC drain pipe

Dewalt DCB203 20v Battery unable to charge solution
Thank you! I had the same issue and it is now good!
Outstanding. Just had success with a battery I ran in a non overdischarge protected kids ride-on. Really great tip
I had so many replaced free of charge by Dewalt. They know it’s a problem. I had to buy non Dewalt batteries so i can work. The reset doesn’t work on my dead batteries. Hopefully Dewalt will fix problem.
Don’t work for me 😢
Wierd I’ve been using my dewalt Battery for at least seven years and still is good on the day of autumn and I bought other batteries just to have extra I’ve never had a problem. He just got a bad Salazar. If you just bottom LeBron, you take them back.
All of my Dewalt batteries are doing this now, they used to not drain all the way and require jumpstart. I had Dewalt batteries for years and now they have all turned the shit, even a new one.
I found that some of my tools (also one of my chargers would slow drain the batteries - I now always disconnect my batteries from the tools when not in use - If the batteries are still discharging on their own - relatively quick - that’s often caused by a failed cell (if your battery has a failed cell, this jump-start won’t fix it)
Just use dimes and hold it
08/24 trick still working 🎉 radley lawn mower
They will get warm if they are charging from a fully discharged state, just like lead acid or gel batteries. I check mine with my heat gun and let them stay on the charger until they drop down to room temp.
Very efficient. It worked for me
Luckily can across your video when trying to solve a similar issue. Read a suggestion about "jump starting" the battery but it did not include a how-to. Followed your steps, saved $40. Thanks a bunch!
Just jumped mine from my truck battery. It's charging now, we'll see if it takes a full charge. 20v max 8ah Thanks, hopefully this saves me a bunch.
Didn't work for me, and I've done it before. For some reason, it isn't doing it. I've tried a second, a couple of seconds and even a minute. Strangely the wires never get any warmer.
I have the same problem with 14.4v battery and fix it with your idea. Thanks for sharing
Works for me .Many thanks for video
WOW-IT WORKS-I HAD TO USE A TWIST TIE THAT YOU FIND ON A LOAF OF BREAD-I JUST SEEN A TINY SPARK AND TOOK THE TIES AWAY-IT'S CHARGING RIGHT NOW.--THANKYOU!!!
Basically defective batteries. I called Dewalt customer service they sent new batteries. Less than 2 years batteries dead again. Called Dewalt sending another battery. But what’s the issue Bad product or ?
Well I’ll be damned. I almost recycled an old 20v 4ah battery I had because it wouldn’t charge. Did this and it’s actually charging, I have no clue if the charge will complete or if it will hold a decent charge but it seems to have actually worked. Thank you!
Whaaat!!!??
I honestly didn't believe this would work but I tried it anyway. Worked perfectly!! Thanks so much!
Thank you so much!! You saved me 89 dollars!! Now my heated jacket has a battery that works.
I am typically skeptical about stuff I see on the internet...but I just tried this and it legit works. I had to have them hooked up for about 60 seconds. The battery was starting to get just the slightest of warm on the back...but it's in the charger right now.
Thank you SO much for figuring this solution out and for posting your video here. Thought I was a goner when the DeWalt site was of absolutely no help whatsoever. This saved me the price of a new charger and/or battery.
Thanks for the video. I put a fully charged Dewalt battery in a "Dewalt type" flashlight I bought on Amazon, tried it out (it lit up) and then turned it off an put it in my tool bag. A week later I took it out and flipped the power button on and NOTHING. Battery was dead, dead, dead. I didn't leave it on and there was no indication that any power was being used. I can only speculate that there is some type of undetected battery drain going on when a battery is hooked up to the flashlight. I will use your method to resurrect this dead battery. Thanks.
Fixed in a heartbeat. Excellent advice
Thank you. Same thing happened with my battery. Had it on my flashlight and it wasn’t even on for a week and it poohed
My dad had a 2ah that did nothing like in this video I put some metal shims in the B+B- then checked my voltage it read 2.34 volts i used this technique and hooked it to my 4ah battery and now the meter reads 16volts and the light comes on when checking the charge. Powers out at my house at the moment, it's funny what we do when the TV isn't working, so I can't put it on the charger but we will see what happens when cleveland public power fixes my problem
What about if it shows fully charged on charger but doesn’t power tool that’s what mine is doing
Did this battery run for as long as it used to? Did it run down quickly?
If your battery is running down quickly, it’s most likely a failed cell within the battery pack, and this solution won’t work for you, you should warranty out the battery with Dewalt, the solution is used if your battery is totally drained and below the threshold for the charger to recognize the battery (this happens with some of the tools left connected for long periods of time) - but a failed cell, can’t be fixed, can only be replaced
Thank you so much. What was this connection at the beginning do so that the battery starts charging? Is grounding it? There must be an explanation for this.
Awesome! Thanks!!
I believe what this actually does is reset the BMS (battery maintenance system). On larger lifepo4 batteries the systwm protects from overcharging, over discharging and excessive amperage. Some time they need to be reset. Doing this procedure will do that and it just takes a second.
That battery may have internal problems with the cells, which explains the warm touch. I'd be careful with that. DeWalt has all the safety mechanics inside the battery, not the charger.
What happens when the hot light on the charger turns on
This solution works when a battery is below the charging threshold/rundown too far. Typically overheating is caused because there’s a damaged cell in the battery pack, if this happens, the cells / battery pack will need to be replaced - if your battery is still under warranty, DeWalt will honor the warranty, there’s a few UA-cam videos that show you how to open the battery pack and replace the cells, however, it’s in my experience that it’s not cost-effective, and easier to just replace the battery pack if you have a cell that’s overheating
@@beyondthebirdhouse4796 what should I do let the battery get warm or what happens
worked great - thanks for the video!
I have the same problem please talk to me about how to really do it I have about 6 batteries that I haven't used help me
Tried this tip. It wont work on my batteries.
Beautiful
A couple of mine will partially charge to 2 lights on but not 3. You know a fix for that too?
Worked like a charm, Thank you
I work on electronics as a hobby. I have an adjustable power supply for injecting voltage into circuits when doing board level repairs. I set my power supply to 10 volts 0.5 amps and connected positive to B+, and negative to B-. After only about 5 seconds the battery started charging on the Dewalt charger. These lithium ion batteries get below a certain voltage and the stock Dewalt charger will not charge them because they are too low on power. Giving them a "jump" will always work until the lithium battery is beyond repair. If the batteries do not charge after about 30 seconds, you are better off getting a new battery. Don't go past 30 seconds to a minute because the battery is bad, and there may be safety risks.
Didn't work for me and my battery is only about 6 months ?
This repair will only work if a battery is discharged, it will not work if there’s a failed cell, if it has a failed cell, contact DeWalt directly for a warranty claim
Just saved me a lot of time and expense. Thanks for sharing
Doesn't work for me 🙁
5 years later and you’re still the man
Worked like a charm. Thank you!
Great very helpful video thanks.
Connected mine to my truck battery for about 10 seconds charges perfectly now thank you so much.
excellent video! exactly addresses my problem on a different device (mower battery).thank you. worked perfectly!
