Nova Drift 1.0 - Endless Mini-Missile Spam
This is what happens when you take the Missile Salvo Weapon in Nova Drift, combine it with a Chassis that multiplies projectiles, and synergize upgrades that either improve damage or create even more projectiles or faster salvo build-up. Towards the end you can have a salvo of 100+ missiles in about 3 seconds. Its a pretty insane build, highly recommended.

      I tried 2560x1080 In-Game Resolution and it looks pretty bad, so I would rather only go one step than two. Im still seeing a rather large uplift in frames and yet it looks as good as Native Resolution, so this is just the way I prefer it. You Also have to keep in Mind that this is Star Citizen and it doesn't run the same way other games do. When you see GPU Utilization drop in large cities, its because the game is not optimized and its becoming CPU-Bound.

      I only thought to try Driver-Level Upscaling because its also how AMD users got Frame Generation working. Once I saw the artifacting using the game settings I just kind of had an idea. Previously I was okay with just pure raster performance at native resolution because the game actually ran okay with the 7800X-3D and 7900-XTX.

    I've got the same GPU as you. Look how bad the usage is on the card. It drops below 50% while in a fight, giving you 25 fps, and most of the time you're using 62% of the GPU. My fans don't even turn on when playing Start Citzien with my 7900 because its usage is so low that the card doesn't heat up enough. For me, the games are not even playable, and the performance is goddamn terrible. I'll get massive dips in fps. The game looks good, but when you've got a 3K+ PC and can't even get stable fps, why even bother playing?

      That's why you read the description. I included FPS numbers for major areas. I just didn't record visiting those areas because the recording was about testing a real playing scenario which is out there accepting missions and doing the work. The only time you go to spaceports and cities is for repairs or it's a swap ships or something so those at BS numbers are less important because you're not doing anything that requires smooth gameplay.

    How about Ryzen 9 5900HX RTX 3070laptopGPU 32 GB ram and ssd 2tb? Those are my specs i dunno why the game runs awfully and i have good thermal as well

    • @wallacengineering8096
      @wallacengineering8096 10 місяців тому

      Laptop Parts are low power and designed to run off the battery for long periods of time. Because of this, laptop parts are significantly slower than their desktop counterparts. The Ryzen 5900HX is probably only as powerful as a Desktop 5700X. The RTX 3070 is probably only as powerful as a desktop RTX 3060. You can't really fit a massive full-sized 200-400 watt GPU inside of a laptop chassis, nor could any battery handle such huge power draw. And so that is the sacrifice that laptops make. Laptops also run differently depending on whether or not the charger is plugged in. To save on battery life, laptops are programmed to automatically reduce power draw by slowing down the CPU and GPU when the laptop is unplugged. So, make sure you are plugged in while gaming to get maximum performance. Star Citizen will never run perfectly, cities still run poorly even for me - Lorville often dives BELOW 40 FPS, so make sure your expectations are reasonable. The good news is your 32GB of System RAM and SSD Storage are pretty much Ideal for the game. Standard 16GB RAM systems struggle because the unoptimized Alpha State game will easily completely saturate all 16GB of RAM and you end up with frequent crashing. Spinning Hard Disk Storage won't even run the game at all. Assets will load in so slowly when attempting to read from HDDs that in game your character will glitch and clip into the environment and die over and over. If your laptop has a 1440p screen, scale the game down. Specs like yours are unfortunately not quite good enough to play a game as unoptimized as Star Citizen at high resolution, so scale the game back to 1920x1080. I had to do the same thing with my old Ryzen 3700X + Radeon RX 5700-XT system - I played at 2560x1080 despite the 3440x1440p Monitor. However, make sure graphical settings are left quite high. Star Citizen is still a CPU-bound game, and so "High" and "Very High" Settings can take some load off the CPU and distribute it to the GPU. The one exception is Volumetric Clouds. Turn those completely OFF for a massive jump in performance on planets. Look up how to get more FPS in Star Citizen here on UA-cam. There are several more advanced tweaks that can help you even more. So in summary - Lower Resolution, but High Settings and turning OFF Volumetric Clouds is how you get the most performance out of Star Citizen, along with more advanced system tweaks that you can research.

      @@ginomenicucci6888 It is honestly playable, especially in Space. Its mainly the cities that run poorly. And wait for this game to be Optimized? Lol, realistically ur talking another 10+ years, not even joking. If you wait for some next-gen hardware like RTX 5000 or 6000 and Ryzen 8000 or 9000, even laptop parts will soon be able to brute-force the game to pretty high performance. But you would need top-tier hardware to keep up with most Desktop Builds, like a Ryzen 8950HX + RTX 5080-Mobile or 5090-Mobile sort of system which I imagine is incredibly expensive. For now we just accept the low performance in cities and just play the game regardless. You can't expect perfect performance from an un-optomized Alpha game.

      It should ya, the 5800X-3D is quite a strong CPU, just be aware there is currently an issue with 7900-XTX GPUs in Star Citizen. Ever since a recent patch, clock speeds can spike way too high while performing certain actions in game and case the game to crash to desktop, also crashing the Adrenaline Driver. The way you fix this issue is by manually setting a clock speed limit within the AMD Adrenaline Driver Software. Check out the information I found on Reddit: www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/s/9QZRS7phpi

Right after launch, both Ares variants were nerfed into the ground by adding insane weapon spread that meant in the Inferno, you couldn't do any damage to a small ship at 500 meter range, 99% of rounds would just spread all around the target instead of go at them. It depends on if you really wanna spend the cash and your target resolution. This card is massive overkill for 1080p. Nobody needs this kind of power for 1080p. Remember that Linus Tech Tips showed that even professional E-Sports gamers who literally get paid to game - show no improvement whatsoever from 144FPS to 240 FPS. This card will easily do more than 240 FPS at 1080p in most games, so you are just throwing away power and money at that point. Its an extremely powerful option for 2560x1440p at absolutely maxed-out settings, or higher. All you need for a completely smooth and responsive experience is about 90 FPS average and yet this card will deliver about 160 FPS in most games at 2560x1440p with completely maxed out settings. So even for 2560x1440p Ultra, its a bit overkill. What this card is actually designed for - is resolutions HIGHER than 2560x1440p. Its even slightly overkill for my 3440x1440p resolution. If I turn off the ray tracing, my average FPS in this game jumps to over 120, usually bouncing around 130-140 even at the same Ultra-Everything settings. Its just that Ray-Tracing is so incredibly taxing on the performance. I actually wanted the lower-tier RX 7900-XT (Not the XTX) but a man bought this Red Devil card and then decided he wanted a Sapphire Nitro instead so I kept my mouth shut about how stupid he was being and saved $300 versus buying in store, I ended up paying even less than the 7900-XT I wanted at the time, and I am able to use the warranty as well. In reality, the RX 7900-XTX is a TRUE 3840x2160p (4K) gaming card. It is capable of 90 FPS at 4K Ultra in most games or just shy of 120 FPS at high settings. So if you want to get an RX 7900-XTX, I highly recommend you get either a 3440x1440p or a 3840x2160p monitor - so you can actually use all of the power this card has to offer - rather than letting it go to waste.

When you pick up the 1440p monitor, go for a high refresh-rate good one with 165Hz+ and options like HDR and an IPS panel to maximize the power the card has to offer. Not sure about U buddy.. but getting light RT in DS 1 remake at 1440p with dips to 90 fps is not that great It's better to go stable 120 Hz over dips to 90s just because light RT is just a waste Even while I have 7900xtx OC to 2850MHz & still turning any RT related feature.. I prefer stable 120Hz at 1800p/4k Am not judging you.. but stable 120 fps is smoother & better than small RT effect with dips to 90 fps

      Its true, if I turn the RT off it goes to more like 120-150 FPS depending on the area but Ive never felt like huge FPS numbers are all that beneficial either. Linus showed that even professional E-Sports gamers show no improvement from 144 to 240 fps, the average gamer is completely satisfied with 90 FPS, and most enthusiasts are completely satisfied with 100 FPS. Even 75 FPS is pretty darn smooth and responsive, plus my monitor is 100Hz anyways. If I wanted rock-solid stable frames, I could just turn on a limiter. But its perfectly smooth with no stutters or weirdness, so why would I?

      Nah unfortunately we found out with the 4S V2 trucks that there is a limit to how much weight you can put on a plastic chassis and how long the plastic chassis can be before it's not structurally sound anymore. Anyone who bought the Kraton 4S V2 Like I did knows just how easy It is to snap the damn chassis on the thing. • @wallacengineering8096
      @wallacengineering8096 Рік тому

      Well Spektrum Electronics are okay, just not great. Main issue really is the bearings. They use super cheap bearings that seize very early on, if you get better bearings they can last just fine, they just don't have the best power but when you consider they are free electronics included with the truck, you can't be too mad about it lol. I am of course referring to the motor bearings. If the motor bearings sieze then it can fry the motor with all the resistance and that resistance also stresses out the ESC which can burn it out as well. Basically, best to just avoid all that nonsense and just buy a couple nice high-end bearings if you want the stock electronics to last. The biggest thing behind the durability of the truck is preparation. I coated the truck in Muck-Off MO-94 and let it dry for 3-4 days before I ever drove it, took the time to tune the suspension before I ever drove it. Basically I completed the entire build before even the maiden run. Thats the key - to strengthen parts BEFORE you break them.

Plus you spend so much on these things and alot of people have servos go out because the manufacturer is so cheap they won't put bearings in the servo saver/ bellcrank. The 1/10 comes with plastic bushings and the 1/8 with brass bushings. Only 1/5 come with the bearings. So on the smaller one you are getting rubbing on the brass or grinding the plastic over time.
