Cube is You - Preview #3 - Saw is Collision
This will probably be the last video I upload for a while, I have exams next month so ill be dedicating less time to this level

This is a test showcasing the first puzzles of the level. Very proud of this level. Cant believe I did it in just 12 days. Robot was relatively easy to add. The hardest part was making every frame in the editor. Next is finishing the layout, bug fixing, and finishing the level in general. Will probably upload it tomorrow but Im not sure.

Spider animations in this level might be the most complicated thing I have ever done in the editor. Ufo animations were also harder than expected. Next is adding the robot.

I plan to add all gamemodes to this level except for wave since it will look and behave weirdly in this mode. Won't probably add swing copter as well but I will reconsider it. The gameplay is relatively easy to add. The hardest part and the most time-consuming one is adding and animating gamemodes. I plan to release this level next week.

Ngl this was pretty hard to accomplish The system is done entirely and gameplay can be added to the lvl pretty easily I also want to add ship gameplay.

Can't believe I finally finished this 5 year old level. Originally I wanted to upload this in 2.2, my plan was to make a half 2.1 half 2.2 level. I first finished the "multiple cubes" effect and the first half of the level and then waited for 2.2 to come out. That was a really bad idea. Long time no see! I want to finish this level as soon as I can since 2.2 will be out in October. Sorry for the lack of updates, I was busy and demotivated. If everything goes as planned, Ill upload this level next week.

Started this a few months ago and forgot about it. Today I found it again and decided to make some progress until I did what you see in the video. Dont know if ill ever finish this level but its a cool concept I guess. Sorry for the lack of updates in IonoSphere, been pretty busy with university and exams and will be till the end of January.

I`ve dealt with this type of nonsense doing these "2.2 in 2.1" levels, thought I should make a video about one of these bugs because I have no idea how to fix it or get around it. This also happens outside of the editor btw

yes, but you can only undo 32 moves for now I may increase that number later and add a LDM that reduces it back to 32, because right now the level plays smoothly in my phone but ive done tests increasing the number of moves and it makes the level almost unplayable I want everyone to be able to play this level, so that seems like the best option, ill see what to do when i start designing longer levels
As a GD and BIY fan, I can confirm this is UNDERRATED
props for even changing the main mechanic up a bit, makes it more of an actual tribute instead of just copying it

WHAT THE FUCK this is insane
if you put the cube box in the stop trigger, do you get soft locked?
@@EI-zo if you somehow manage to make the cube both You and Stop at the same time, you wouldnt be able to move and the only things you could do would be to undo moves or restart the level, so you wouldnt be softlocked I could make it so it just ignores it and continues moving like normal, like in the original game, but i think this way makes more sense considering the stop trigger in the gd editor can affect the move trigger That cant happen in this level tho, an object cant be two things at the same time with this setup

THIS IS SICK!! I love the idea of the objects being more gd-themed, the way the text is replaced with triggers is actually genius! And having an entire undo system is honestly the cherry in top :) I'll definitely check this out when it's finished :3 I do have a question though, are you gonna try to replicate the visual style from baba is you or are you gonna make something entirely new? The same also goes for the levels, are you gonna create your own levels or are you gonna stick to the stuff from the original baba is you? Creating fun levels in baba is you can be hellishly difficult, so I would also be fine if you only chose to use levels from the original game. It would still be cool to see though :)
Nevermind, I just read the description. Actually designing entirely new levels is really cool! That gives me an even bigger reason to check this out once it's finished :D
@basicallytoxic Thanks! I havent decided yet what will be the visual style, it will definitely be gd related like in the video, but those textures are not final. I do want to animate them like in Baba is You but dont know how i want to do it I will definitely change the background and animate it, thats for sure

They arent added. The whole concept of transforming something into another thing with how i did this would be very complex and would require a ton of triggers. Tho I will add a Copy command, which will make an object do the exact same thing as another one. For example if wall is stop and gem is copying wall, then gem will also be stop

Thanks! You can only undo 32 moves for now, the final release will also add a menu from which you can restart the whole thing. Will see later if i increase it to 64 moves but i think its unnecesary and weaker devices would suffer the consequences
@texelash7034 interesting Doubling the undo stack seems unnecessary as of now, but if you're planning on making big/long levels, I'd recommend doing it
@smth35ill probably double it and make it so that if you use LDM, you can only undo 32 moves, then see if thats good enough I plan to add long levels but havent designed any yet, ill decide what to do when i start those

i think using the trigger texture for rules is confusing, maybe make it in 3 blocks like in the original game? some levels are impossible with your mechanic
I will be designing other levels, different to the original game, that use this new mechanic. I understand that it may be confusing at first but i will try to make the player understand everything with the first few levels

I agree. It completely removes transformations having it set up like this, which means no object duplication as well.
