Having grown so incurably fond of Christopher Hitchens' brilliant mind, and his knowledge of intricate details of history, politics, literature, and religion, along with his brilliant command of the English language and intolerance for ignorance and political trickery, I can only compare listening to his brother Peter to stepping into an elevator car that has a rotten fart hanging in the air 😖.

I am somewhat guilty of participating in the behaviour that has led to the decline of our nation, society, and the lack of appreciation for the values and ideals that were once the foundation and bedrock of our communities. We have been bought and sold by the dishonest and unpatriotic liberal elites. We have to accept a collective responsibility for the detrimental consequences that have occurred on our watch. The sacrifices that our ancestors made for the betterment of our lives. I am adamant that if we could ask the people who have suffered, and those that have given the ultimate sacrifice to do it again if they could witness the current state of our country. I am sure of their answer.

He is correct of course. It is very easy to highlight all that is wrong and the betrayal of this country and its people by a metropolitan liberal globalist international elite. The harder question is what to do about it? A bit of creative destruction. The problem with 2008 was that it was not bad enough. A total collapse of the city of London and all the financial institutions bleeding the country dry over the last forty years all vanishing may have been what was needed. Instead the man on the street was forced to pay for it and those responsible were bailed out and left to carry on much as before. We have the Reform Party now which might, might provide a democratic means of change for good in this country. But the chances are very slim. It will take a political earthquake the like of which we have never seen before to unseat the globalist international capitalist liberals who have destroyed this country and plundered it for fifty years. But who knows? There may be just enough democracy left to put things right. I live in hope. At this Eastertime I pray to God we might be saved. In every sense.

In hindsight, listening to Peter here whilst the childish pathetic sneers of the liberals & socialists is remarkable. He was right all along and he was laughed at.

Question Time has become a programme that I habitually tune into but invariably turn off ten minutes in, due to the bland panels (and audiences) that broadly agree. I miss those like Hitchens and Starkey - i.e. those thinkers who had something real and of substance to say. The BBC killed the goose that laid the golden egg cancelling them, for goodness sakes, politely ask them to return, for our sakes and for that of the quality of the programme!
