    What about that panhard bar? Did it keep the axle center after the lowering. An adjustable is available if you have centering issues.

      @@kenlelon369 I assumed that it wasn't low enough to need an adjustable panhard bar. Been daily driving it for over a year since I lowered it and haven't had any issues but I've honestly never bothered to measure and see how centered the axle was. Good question.

    Blake, thanks for your video. I am in Kentucky also and in the process of building a 67 C10. Question, your old suspension had lowering blocks, but you left those off when installing new suspension. Are you using lowered springs? I thought i read the ride is better using stock springs and lowering blocks. What's your thoughts?

    • @blakegroce
      @blakegroce Місяць тому

      @@alexrios5681 Yes, I used lowering springs. It rides better than it did with the original worn out springs. I'm not sure if it would ride better with the lowering blocks and new "stock height" springs or not. I decided to use lowering springs instead of lowering blocks because I wanted to gain more ground clearance between the ground and the trailing arms. 👍

      @@blakegroce Okay, maybe I don't understand today's definition of a "cold start"? I grew up in the day's of early Chevrolet's and other engines, tractors, etc. Normally, what we did was to pull the choke closed, turn the motor over until it fired and then gently open the choke just enough to keep it running and as the motor warms up, it clears up and eventually idles down and you keep pushing open the choke ALL the way as it stays running. As many times as your engine died? That's not normal procedure and not a healthy engine start. So, you must've opened the choke very "early" for it to keep dying like that. Is that what you folk's "define" as a "cold start" in these video's? I'm just trying to make sense of what your doing. I still have a 1966 283 and a inline 292 six popper in my 1968 C20. 👍 Thanks

    • @blakegroce

      I'm running a 3.5 inch engine pulley and a 4 inch transaxle pulley, this does about 9 mph. If you want to go faster you can put a bigger pulley on the engine and a smaller pulley on the transaxle, this will make it go faster. But doing this will make your tractor not have a lot of low end torque but it's all about what your building it for and what you feel comfortable with! Hope this is helpful!
