I bought several firearms from HL..I do unboxing videos on my channel.... I've had no issues except for the long wait but I'm retired so the wait doesnt bother me and i am pleased with what i bought.. I will still continue to buy from HL... when you call ask for James,and ask him if he has anything not listed in the ad.Thats how i found some of mine.
@thewolfhunter I have watched many of your videos, that's what gave me the confidence to order knowing I have to be patient and wait. I have a m38 mosin that should arrive soon
Im not trying to be annoying but you should wait a few seconds after that primer strike, u never know since it fired the round before
It was a different gun, I could tell it didn't hit the primer, but you are right I should have waited longer as a safety precaution. I was also firing new ammo so a hangfire shouldn't be an issue
Might want to be careful swapping bolts-headspace and all that.

When i cleaned mine up i found the breech threads, that was the last thing i checked, were way to corroded to fire. A buddy fixed that😊

Mine was missing a bolt. That's the part that's the hardest to find on those. But it is a beautiful mauser in great shape.

yes it was, I ordered a replacement extractor from Jack First gun parts and made a new handguard

@@Thehobbyist.2023 do your homework. There are 7 pages of hunter lodge complaints, just Google hunter lodge, ethridge Tennessee. They have been duping suckers for years, and those pages go chapter and verse into how hunters lodge screws people over. Out of dozens of complaints you'll find a favorable review here and there, bit ordering from them is a gamble. BBB rates them an F- ...and I got burned once, never again. It's your money, I guess...have at it.

Hunters lodge sent me a piece of shit after waiting 9 months for my 303 which I paid extra for to get a nice one. No such luck. Ever wonder why they only want checks for payment? They cash your check and leave you hanging.

was impressed by the condition of your Vergueiro and reached out to HLC. They offered hand select option and ordered it. Unfortunately, mine is rusty under the wood top and bottom, heavily oiled stock with two cracks repaired by butt plate and behind front stock nose cap. nothing matched and barrel band needed to be hammered off but, bolt was in good shape and there were lands and grooves. hope its a good shooter

You did good for that place. Usually the packing material is worth more than the crap they send. Consider yourself lucky. I bet your viewers who order from them will not experience the same luck.
I tried for months to contact them in regards to the hanyangs and bolts for the 88s, a russian sounding lady kept answering saying the guy to speak to in regards to orders was out.... So i lokked up their better business bureau reviews and said no way..... I got what i needed elsewhere. These guys have a very bad reputation.
They told me they had any part I needed when I ordered, when I finally got the rifle I contacted them about procuring the missing pieces and they told me they didn't have them. Sorely disappointed with that

Welcome to the world of Brown Bess, We were out yesterday and everyone wanted to dance with Bess, but she is my girl. I use a military load of .690 RB in a paper cartridge using 80 grams 2F. I hit the target every time at 75 yards and can shoot 3 rounds a minute... The wife is a little jealous.

I'll tell you, that rifle had seen plenty of handling - Nepali troops are just very disciplined in keeping their shit up to spec. They were 200 years ago, they still are now.

nice, mine the ram rod is a wee bit short and the stock was broken In half and missing a chunk. and needed a new side screw. mine ended up as gurka but I think fully functional. once replacement parts arrive.
