3D Printing Guide# How to use slicer software for 3D printing? CURA Beginner guide
if you are familiar with solidworks you can do lithophanes fully within the program: first, design a parameterized frame whos dimensions are controlled by the resolution of the imported image (or just manually adjust sketch dimensions for each new image). select the face that you wish to have lithoed (the face within the frame body), than adjust its appearance, place the image you want on the face, and apply the 3d mesh tool. you get all sorts of controls, and lightside up/down, so your lithos can also be reliefs.
Thank you! I just started printing lithophanes and this video is great!!
Thank you very much, mate, this is very helpful. You have a great accent, I hope you don't mind me saying
Thank you very much! Very helpful

With the sd card, the slower speed fixed it, gotta try the usb mode to see if that helps it while maintaining the speed
Say hello to my litho phane!
A mask I was making shifted a full 10mm and then finished printing flawlessly.
Belts are tight. It was a 26 hr print on Ender 3.
@@Printerguy360you ever figure it out
For shapes like circles and hearts you most definitely will need strong supports if printing vertically. Ask me how I know!
I have a coreXY :) but found the tip about printing along Y particularly smart and valuable for who has an Ender3 or like most printers out there!
Excellent tips and overview! Thanks!
You are a life saver! Thank you!
Instead of a raft I often use a brim. Works for me

This is by far the most informative video not only on Lithophanes, but general 3D issues that I’ve seen. Thanks so much for sharing this. You earned my sub.

Thank you for making this video. I was about to start my first one and was about to make a few mistakes. Just in time for Mother’s Day!
This is actually GodLike content, thank you so much. I have been struggling with a tiny curvy keychain, failed 18 times already but not yet given up.
Outstanding Sir!
Thanks alot my friend...I am having this same problem. I will try your best solution along with a solution from another viewer, which is to print two objects side by side, giving more cooling time between layers!
Nice information..

Good experiments shared 💕thanks bro
Thanks for this video. I been wrestling with this problem and this helped a lot.
I had the same problem but i resolved it by printing 2 same screws with a bit space between each other, great video btw !!
Thanx Samm! I had this same idea as well, but have not tried it yet...nice to know it is a possible solution!
Damn does this actually work? That'd be so awesome!
My ender 3v2 started over struding out of nowhere, previous prints cane just perfect and suddenly after on print it began overstrudding, any ideas guys?!
Great video thanks!
Does that work with petg? Does petg layer adhesion need the previous layer still warm or does it just depend on how quickly we cool the current layer?
Thank you. I’m hoping to print some lithophanes before christmas
Great video, cant wait to try some of these tips.
Add the line of text "M413 S0" to the beginning of your gcode file. It will disable power loss recovery and solve this issue.
Thanks, good tips for 3d printing in general 👍
The ones I have printed flat have actually printed pretty well but everytime I try to do one vertically it fails, it gets like 20% or so and then messes up everytime. Any suggestions for me?
use a brim. you need to keep it from wobbling as it gets higher. make sure you have good bed adhesion. If you are printing on glass, try some glue stick.
I love little fin
Very underrated video but has heaps of very useful info! Must watch for new comers
thank you so much !!!
What is a PEI shit?
