8% is plenty :D I have been down to 0% once. But it was a controlled test close to home. Worst case I could have pushed it. Did about 1km, I guess, at 0% to get back to my charger. Had already been in and out of limp mode a couple of times before hitting 0

@@turbolaban Does Energica still have a buffer after the 0%? My dealer said there would still be 20 km plus. I also had to drive to 2% once in Iceland. I had overlooked the wind and a pass with 4 degrees. 😝

@@ACDCBiker Don't know any official numbers. Would certainly not rely on anything being available. I think your luck at 0% may vary a great deal. Hopefully, I don't have to find out :D

Thanks, loved it :D Average temperature was around 10 degrees (celcius), I think, when I was there. Wind can be pretty cold. I used heated jacket and pants, so was pretty comfy most of the time. Wore my rain jacket to stop the wind when it got too bad

I am of course sad that it happened. I had high hopes for them. They really were at the front when it comes to electric motorcycles. I am still hopeful that someone will buy the whole thing and do a reboot. Just have to wait and see what happens. I don't see any current offerings that beat the Experia for my use. For the time being, I'll continue riding my Experia and enjoy it :D

Actually, I did lay it on the side once while struggling in the sand, but I don't count it as a real drop. The droping comes later :D Not because of the road conditions but own stupidity. I did consider the Rally STRs, but ended up getting the TKC-70s in the end. They did pretty good on gravel, I think. I'll make a note of the Rally STR recommendation

Thanks! I am using a DJI Mic2 placed inside the helmet. Connects via bluetooth to the Action4 camera. Works ok most of the time, but not perfect. A bit slow to connect at times when starting the recording. I also do a bit of noice reduction in DaVinci Resolve to reduce wind noice and Energica whine, that the mic is a bit eager to pick up ;) Do you plan any more updates on your DSR/X trip by the way?

Yep let's see how it will go .. energica was always very good to her customers they must have a solution for owners .. we just need acces to software .. But yes some of us can get unlucky if big fails appear .. most bikes will keep functioning for years though

Thank you ☺️ Still loving the Experia. Sure, there are things that could be improved, but overall I am happy with it. I know I'm terrible at giving updates on soc and remaining range. Keep forgetting about it. So far I have done about 20k km on the Experia. Haven't noticed any serious loss in range. Was lower on Iceland than what I am used to, but I blame wind and low temperature. Was back to normal when I got home (250+ km vs around 200 km on Iceland)

@steinmargunnarsson3709 Nice! It wasn't you I spoke to at one of the carging stations? I met someone who had done a trip on an electric a few years back. I wandered a bit off the ring road on this trip, as you'll seen in upcoming episodes. Loved Iceland. Amazing country! Definitely on my return to list :D

Thanks for watching :) Yes, touring on an electric bike is pretty much like on an ICE only you fill up with electricity instead of petrol. And it is much more pleasant to ride, IMO. On long day trips where I need to stop for charging, I try to take my food and toilet breaks while the bike is plugged in. That way there is no waiting for the charge. It will be done by the time I am ready to go. If you haven't tried riding electric already, I'd certainly recommend seeing a dealer for a demo ride

I love keyless. I have read that some people don't like it, but I haven't really had any issues with mine. Not counting me leaving my keys where they may fall off the bike :D Had normal ignition on my Ribelle, but decided to try keyless for the Experia. Would buy keyless again :)

It is one from AliExpress. Cheapest one I could find at the time that were made for motorcycles :) cost me about $60. Didn’t expect much, but it has worked well

Hi, glad you liked it! Sadly, I was not able to find the chargers in San Marino on any other charging app than the one they wanted me to use. Don't remember if I checked Plugsurfing, but I think so. The chargers didn't show in Plugshare, so was surprised to find them. If I had got them working, it would have been perfect

You need to use the app from the charging operator. Same as you would use to start charging normally. So still need to download and register in an app for each company, but after that it should start automatically. Not all companies support this, and I think there is also a competing standard.

Really need active cooling of the battery if we want to avoid heat buildup, I think. Unless riding in a very cold environment.The Experia has a pretty good range, at least when not riding highways, so usually I only need 1 charge during the day, if any. Og, ja... Er norsk :)

I have most of the charges (at least DC) in various apps. So should be possible to extract some stats there. I'll have to check when time permits. I tend to forget to document these things, so charging apps to the rescue :D

@@firmbutton6485 Most people are just curious. Many have not seen an electric motorcycle before. In general I find that people are positive, even though they may not consider one for themselves. Of course, range is always one of the first questions :)

Thank you :) My main camera attached to the helmet is an Dji Osmo Action 3. I have a GoPro 8 on the handlebars. The Action 3 is more reliable than the GoPro when it comes to actually starting the recording. I also have an Insta360 One that I use from time to time, but it is quite old now, so quality is lower than the others. I am considering getting one of the newer Insta360 cameras at some point.

Those numbers seem pretty aligned with my experience. Looking at 150-200 km on highway and 250-300 km when going slower on twisty roads, including the mountain passes. Speed really is the major factor when it comes to range. I think the longest I did on this trip was around 270 km without charging, but then I still had a reasonable amount of battery left.

Yes. La merke til kommentaren om kraftlinjene :) Trur du kan komma ganske lagt med Livewire også i alpene. Det var ganske greit med lademuligheter. I alle fall Nord-Italia burde vera null stress. Tenker det går fint andre plassar og med litt meir planlegging/lading på camping over natta. Men det er klart det hjelper med 100(?) km bedre rekkevidde
