From 'A Very Wrieuw Christmas' compilation album in 2013. You can download the MP3 for FREE here wrieuwrecordings.bandcamp.com/track/walking-in-the-air This took me about 3 weeks to arrange & record each part, using Cubase. The main string sound is played on an Eminent Solina String Ensemble keyboard. All of the other synthesizer sounds I have created using the Yamaha FM7 synth plugin and Korg ...
Magnetic Fields 4 - Cover Version
Переглядів 64511 років тому
My first attempt trying to sync separate audio and movie footage using video editing software. I'm playing a cover version of Magnetic Fields 4 by Jean-Michel Jarre. Played on a Roland RS-5 synth, sequenced using Cubase software. Audio recorded directly into the Creative soundcard of my PC. Filmed using my Canon PowerShot A400 camera. Camera cuts out after about 2 minutes - that was my fault ;)

    Can it be that his greatest quality and his worst were the same one, just depending on the situation? Put him to writing music and it's exquisitely moody and gorgeous, and then put him in this stupid world and he can't find a place at all.

    I've met her a few times. I was a extra in one of her videos and had tea with her parents a few times. I don't think I said more than 25 words to her in 45 years. The last time I saw her was at a fan meeting in 1986. I was at the door when she entered the building. Her fear was palpable.

    I read recently that something like 85% of all artists signed to record labels were privately educated, but I really miss this type of artist. She reminds me a bit of Sade. They're from ordinary places in suburbia, but they have imagination and talent, and that's all they're interested in - no bullshit. They're there because they are good at what they do, not because they have the connections or speak the right way. The music industry has really suffered because of the way it is structured now.

    I'm an American and, in my 49 years of living, I only just heard of Kate Bush today. I listened to two songs and concluded that Madonna and Cindy Lauper heavily copied some elements of her style, so I was pleased when the host stated something to the effect of Madonna being inspired by Ms. Bush.

    Wow that moment when he asked if she enjoyed being a male fantasy was awkward. I genuinely can’t stand the way our culture has gone “woke”. But at the same time that question seemed kind of weird.

    • @Optics2024
      @Optics2024 10 місяців тому

      @@Jesus_Resurrection_and_Life absolutely. Some female artists, and male artists too I guess to some extent, play up to that kind of image. They’ll deliberately dress a certain way, or behave in a way that could be perceived as promiscuous as a means to get that kind of attention. But for someone like Kate it’s about her music and about the art. I think that’s why she was slightly taken aback by the question and it all was pretty awkward.

    I have never seen this recording until now. Bloody cheek, "Yuppy conert", I went to this concert aged 18. I was born in South London and lived there for 38 years before moving. From what I remember of Newham it was a hive of crime before the concert and still is. The only difference now is that it's populated by what were then called Yuppies. All it sounded like to me was lefty whingeing, especially where it showed 'local Labour spokesperson.' I also loved the use of the word 'victims', absolutely pathetic. People thought woke snow-flakery originated a few years ago. Nah, it's existed for decades and propogated by journalists.

    I think Kate trusted Aspel hence he got to interview her twice. But he nearly put his foot in it when he starts mentioning kate being a "pin up" 4:11 her face changes to a concerned look then when he asks her "do you like being a male fantasy?" She's clearly shocked at that and he immediately realises and backtracks. She retorts with "yes I think it's a horrible question" and the smile is there but the eyes could kill. I thought Aspel was a decent enough guy though and a mistake is a mistake. Jonathan Ross gets away with that kind of thing every week.
