Exactly. Its a big reason why i rarely get new games anymore.... they are mostly money pits or geard for pay2win.

I see where your coming from. But i have to disagree. There are many many good mods of different types. Brutal voxel doom is one of the ones that needed to be made. But there are other contenders to brutal doom or project brutality. One of my favs that ive made more then one video on is DN3Doom. It is an awesome recreation of Duke 3D in gzdoom. Plays alot like brutal doom but with other advantages. Such as having either doom enemies, duke enemies, or combo of the both. Varying the percentage. Making insane enemy combinations. One of the best vids that i made was Legacy of Rust and DN3Doom together on GZDoom. Added a relighting mod that my old GPU can handle and you got an awesome gameplay experience.

the voxel sprites are alright but good enough to make anything else obsolete in my opinion.

@@graberassadventures3539 I dont think you understand my point. If you are used to play with voxels graphics for months, then is hard to get back to the old 2d sprite. Gzdoom has the ability to play with mouselook. 2d sprites looks awful with mouselook

@@pedro3115 again. Like i stated. I understand your point and see where your coming from. I wasnt trying to say your wrong. I like the voxel look. And i can see how once you use it so much it can be hard to go back. However. Sayong that you cant go back to 2d sprites will make it hars for you to discover othet hidden gem mods that in itself can be put on the same type of pedistal. I myself never stick with just one type of mod. It limits the experience. If you dont mind. I want to present a friendly challenge 😁 If you can. Find the mowing grass mod and myhouse wad. It will become the most ridiculous thing you have played, but will also be insanly fun. As a bonus. You maybe able to add a vanilla monster voxel mod aswell. But regardless. Try those two as a combo

actually, the jet pack is usable, i just didnt have a need to use it here. but its a free escape deathpits that you may fall into in later doom 2 maps. the some can fly, depends on thier location and map. but usually no.

with this mod in doom 2. its actually pretty good. i find it on par with brutal doom for reloading. takes a few seconds, but isnt a game killer. plus with how i play. reloading is needed.

@@graberassadventures3539 no, it stops the pacing. It sucks.

@@fabioxperuggia not really. It adds a boon thats needed with modern controls of jumping and ducking and free mouselook and auto aim off. Not having reloading makes your character to OP. Hence why in my videos, i still go to each room even if i know i can skip areas. Does reloading slow down the pace. A tiny bit yes. But without ot. Your character is too strong compared to the forces.

@@TPUSILL i left the links you need to run it in video description, GZDoom. And mod. However you need the doom wads. As long as you have all 3 your set to start

Oh since different engines like gzdoom and zandronum and older like zdoom and the like. Duke like mods have existed. Theres a fun one called samsara. Its ment to play with a group. The bigger the better. As you get to choose between 20 differenct classic fps characters. Blake stone, doom guy, blood shadow warrior, duke, quake ranger, unreal. Descent star ship lol. The list goes on. The enemies show up in relation to your characters. So more friends, more mix of enemies. Then add that with lexicon or conpendium for hub and level choice. And your good to go for hours of fun I wish i knew how to make mods, i would love to make a build of my own
