Don’t Forget About the PCV Valve!
Переглядів 654 роки тому
In today’s video I’m just sharing how to check your PCV valve to see if it’s faulty. The one in this video was easy to tell it needed replacement, but the shake test is an easy way to see if the one way valve is unrestricted to move. If you don’t change your PCV valve before it’s totally clogged the positive pressure of the engine can push out different oil seals causing oil leaks to occur. Tha...

Don’t Forget To Do This When You Change Your Oil!

On this particular customer’s vehicle there was an oil leak after the service was complete. It was a slow leak and quite difficult to see, but it paid off to be thorough this time. It appears the wrong tool was used for the job previously to it being brought to me. Disclaimer: This video is for entertainment purposes. I did everything like this and my wheel still turns hard
How much is for the part an the work all together?
Would of helped a little better to move the camera closer to the inside of the engine bay as you were pointing things out
My biggest question is, are there four that can be replaced because for whatever reason online I can only find ones that are specific like on the Nissan website for example it only says front driver side
@@tiffanystouchofcolor the front two bearings are the same and the rear bearings on both sides are the same side to side but different from the fronts. So there should really be two part numbers.
Jacks are undersized, hope your front wheels are chocked. You’re playing the danger game young whipper snapper.
I have an 03 ford expedition eddie Bauer. It needs new upper control arms, ball joints, tie rods and an alignment.. what would you say is a fair price to have that done? I was quoted 1650... felt like that was kinda high.. so trying to get more opinions before i have it done.
excellent , but most important is to change tensioner, battery light will turn on on high rpm .
I'm study trying to have this man and tell me if you know
Wow, can that pump leaking cause and entire greasy mess at the “front” (passenger side) of the V6 engine? Am thinking that is my culprit.
Great video. What if the expedition is equipped with factory air ride suspension?
Perfect video
I wanted to see more of what you did. I liked your commentary but wanted more. Thanks.
I'm glad they made it really easy to remove
The list of torque specs don't include the control arm bushing nut & bolt. Suits me. I'll use Loctite, reuse the nut(s), and snug it up about as tight as the originals. I see the mounting ears were not deformed, and new part slid right in. Can't really see a reason to torque on them much. Also, can't imagine the tension of some little rubber bushings are going to affect the ride height of a 7,000 pound vehicle!
Wish you would have done this video replacing mine , 2008 Torrent. I dread doing this because leaning over working is excruciating with my spinal masses . But I’ll struggle though . It’s not difficult just contrary to my handicap
Thank you for the video.
Very Nice" Mr.Zack 💥 🛠

Thank you this will help me do my job a lot quicker
gracias, por compartir estos buenos conceptos ; del sistema de dirección hidráulica; bendiciones
Mines going in for a 2.5 inch lift. Rancho. 04 expedition. 35s. No rust at all. Southern truck. No more jeeps for me. Can't beat the room. Space for everything.
I have looked at several videos on how to do this, because different people have different ideas. Your video is by far the best I have seen. Thanks, keep up the good work.
Show us where the 3 alternator bolts are with A better camera angle so we can see them please thanks for the upload
Did you have to take the motor mount off?
This was a few years ago, but I’m pretty sure I did not have to.
Horrible video 🤦🏽♂️
I don’t get what you are doing with the hub. I’ve never had to do that before. I’ve done a few of these jobs. Plus I never had to use a press. Just a baby sledge and lots of patience. LOL. On Honda tho
You can do it many different ways, but the press makes quick work of it. No need for patience. lol
👍
Video sucks...worst designed car to get an alternator out. You need to show exactly how clips move. You better explanation on the small things.
How much time does this job take? And how much do u charge? A few years ago, Sears Auto Care in Orange County, California charged me approx $500. Of which $300 was for labor. Never went back there again.
I usually do a front brake job in about an hour from jacking up the vehicle to torquing the lug nuts. Generally I charge $75 for a standard brake job for labor. Some jobs may be more depending on if anything extra needs to be done(seized caliper slide pins, scan tool brake positioning, etc.)
@@zachmiller289 iIn this video u replaced brakes, pad & rotor. You were very thorough & took the time to clean & grease the parts. I doubt the shop that charged me $500 did all that. The guy i was dating at the time suggested this place & said nothing to the mechanic. Instead took me to a nearby buffet for lunch. I broke up with him. If he can't help me to not get ripped off with car repairs, he wasn't the one.
thank you so much. this is very instructive. you helped me saving me time and money and....
Why would my car feel like it's loosing power as I drive after replacing the alternator
Watching in 2023 and will be using your video while changing my alternator thank you so much ❤
Nice job/video! can you please explain why upper control arms should be replaced ? I will be doing the entire vehicle struts soon on mine
Doing mine because the upper ball joint started separating from the control arm. If the bushings are bad, the upper control arm will move/ clunk when braking or going over bumps.
Thank you for this video I able to change mine today just by watching this
So something I just learned about the clips like the one up top fir the pressure sensor is that you can just push it farther on to release it. I've been doing it wrong filor years lol. Also you can't lose the clip then either 👍
No rust, that looks lovely.. lol But you can use a socket extension to punch the bolt out.
Do have torx # for those top 3 nuts?
What kind of serpertine belt do u have on there
How much would you charge to change the p/s pump?
Where is your turbo? I thought all of the 2016 Malibu ECOtec came with one?
Not one this one!
Umm you skipped the most important part lmao 😂
Any chance I could get some ideas on threading the high pressure line to the steering?
So how do you flush it
I jus got my first Ford escape 05 with less then 30k miles I'm happy but jus realized I gotta change my power steering pump 💪🏻 appreciate the help
What engine is this
Thank you for this video! I got to change one out for my cousin in the parking lot of his work. First one ever.
You need to show what your doing. I can barely see what your doing when taking off the Bolts on the alternator
Sorry, there’s barely enough space behind the alternator to even get my hands and wrench back there so there was no way to get my camera back there. Use the new alternator’s bolt holes as a reference for where the original bolts are located on the alternator installed on the vehicle. Pretty sure I mentioned the bolt sizes so all you need to do is feel around the backside of the alternator with the correct sized wrench and you’ll figure it out. Happy wrenching!
I can’t find a new power steering pump for a 2.5L anywhere 😢
Why would you skip ahead on a part replacement
