Nice anonymous confession
if you click on any given skyrim related video on youtube, there is roughly a 89 percent chance you will hear an australian accent
@@oliwardcomics I am yet another addition to the collection of Aussie TES channels 😂
@@Verdant1 its a strange phenomenon. why are there so many australians making skyrim content on YT??
@@oliwardcomics im just as lost as you with that one
I have never heard of you before, but as a TES lore nerd myself, you've got yourself a new subscriber.
I appreciate it!
The single greatest Gigachad in Tamriel's history.
My view on the Dwemer is that they branched off from the Falmer. They were the miners and lived apart from the main Falmer settlements. Certain individuals had an ability to discover veins of ores through the tones created by the striking of picks against rock outcroppings. With that ability that was developed even more with special gear that they developed to follow the tones that different ores gave off. The Falmer settlements considered them their poor brothers as the Dwemer started to live in the rock galleries that they carved out. They became self sufficient and abandoned any dependence on the outside world. The arrogance of their Falmer brethren separated them even more. As animals couldn’t live in these subterranean environments, they developed the special machines that provided security and recovery of ores. Self sufficient as they were, worshipping the Divines became less and less and caused more animosity between these two cultures.
It's possible but I would argue that if they did branch off from the other elves in that way, it would have been alongside the Chimer. This makes sense as they are most prevalent within Morrowind, had their own great house in Chimer society for a while, and both the Chimer and Dwemer beliefs oppose the other elves. They likely settled across the north when they arrived in the velothi pilgrimage. If they branched off from the Falmer they would likely be primarily present in Skyrim and less in other provinces. Also the snow elves pantheon is extremely similar to that of the Altmeri Pantheon which therefore would also oppose Dwemeri beliefs. I think it is certainly possible, but in saying that I also think there are other possibilities that are more likely to have occurred.
@@Verdant1 Thank you for the response. The big concept that I would like to emphasize is that different ores may give off different sonic resonances. The Dwemer miners that had this ability would have been the basis of the ones that developed the tonal technologies. Miners being more mechanically inclined would turn to developing equipment that would lessen their burdens in mining the ores.
@@michaeltelson9798 Do you have a source for this? because I would be interested in learning about it
@@Verdant1 It’s my own speculation, but I try to follow what I believe is a logic trail. Engineers tend to be non religious except to their calculations and equations. Offhand, did you notice that Bethesda’s art department has a thing about Art Deco? The Dwemer architecture and the mechanical designs all have an Art Deco feel to them? It’s in the Fallout series as well.
Good video! surprised you don't have more subs.
what a beautifully made video 👏 can’t wait for more releases 🙌
Work of ART
men sad. men see verdant video. men happy
MUM WAKE UP NEW VERDANT VIDEO 🗣
Good work!
Best thing to pop up on my feed all day, good to see you still making videos. And Dwemer are my favorite kind of Mer
people be like the man the myth the legend and its just your boy Verdant. Glade your back king, can't wait to see what you do with your channel in the future
Just like the Dwemer, I vanished from existence, however, I have returned
glad to have you back! we missed you 😭
Welcome back
REMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN
Great narration. 👏👏👏👏👏👍
I appreciate it! Thanks :)
“Because of his left hand, made of a killing light.” That sounds an awful lot like how fantasy/medieval folk would describe a cybernetic cannon, or weapon they simply can’t comprehend yet.
"An armour from a future time" also suggests something this, that they dont have the technology to make it, or maybe even understand it
where is jobob you're not as good as jobob. (new vid droping soon gonna blow you out the water)
hell nah
this guy knows what's up!
Still waiting for that video to come out 😔
I really like this video and the way it’s narrated, I wonder if there will be more videos like this
Thankyou I appreciate it! I do plan on doing more, it takes a lot of time though so it might be a week or two before the next one
Not-Japan, how mysterious
When I clicked on this I thought this would’ve been a channel with like 40k subscribers or something, this is good stuff.
Hahaha, thanks mate! 😁
Greattt stuffff
Thanks so much!
That was an entertaining video entertaining. The script was written quite nicely. I do have a question: will you make any more dinosaur videos? That game is enjoyable to watch.
Thankyou! I've been taking a break from that game, but yeah I do plan on eventually doing another video on it with a friend
@@Verdant1 This information truly brought a smile to my face! To be honest I loved dinosaurs since infancy.
Good video. The Tsaesci in ESO are depicted as tall snakes. And they’re not always hostile.
I think you might be confused with the Lamia, they are very similar in description but are from Tamriel. In oblivion and ESO you can meet ghosts of Tsaesci and they appear more humanoid.
This is a lore accurate discussion between two tamrielic schoolars about the true appearance of the tsaesci
Great video
So glad to see new TES lore creators enter the arena! idc how many times I hear the same tales, every new channel breathes fresh life into the lore I love.<3 I may even finally join ya'll one day! <3 Great work, keep it up m8!
Thankyou! I appreciate it heaps! New elder scrolls content is always welcome! :)
As you grow your video are getting more in depth and better in quality, as always great job
I appreciate it!
Great video (: glad to be here at the start (:

Just finished this DLC for the first time yesterday, Miraak is such a great character
Yeah, he used to be my favourite character when I was younger
Great video man love that elder scrolls are so going strong
Cheers mate!
you got recommended twice that’s a sub
This is great video! Glad I made it so early, you deserve more subs for sure! Sub 367! You'll have thousands in no time. 😀
Typical Imperial propaganda, as if I would let my own temple get razed by those disillusioned lizards. You’re a fool if you believe those lies!
Subscriber 360, WOO! Great video! Love your presentation style as well.
Awesome! Thankyou heaps!
I have to say, you have a natural talent and vibe about you that makes these video something else. I followed after watch your video on Pelinal Whitestrake. Keep going kid, you’re doing incredibly well and you are going to make it. This video was amazing as always ✨
Thankyou so much! That means a lot to me, I appreciate it :)
You're doing well in your first videos. Repeated the same line a couple times, but your structure and video selection and editing are already extremely good. Good luck, well done!
I appreciate it :), Yeah I was a bit disappointed with how the voice over turned out, I plan on improving the writing and narrating for the next one. Thanks for the feedback!
@@Verdant1 Hey, no one is perfect from the beginning. Look how much Babe Ruth had to drink, smoke and gain weight before he became the great ballplayer he did!
I just wanna say I love the way you write. “And therefore they make no distinction between speaking and fighting” was a line that immediately clicked in my head. Great job.
Thankyou! I plan on improving my writing a lot for the next one
he is the first dragonborn then he already existing on previous Elder Scroll?
Great job love the video
Thankyou heaps 🙏
Ohhhh shittttt fudge muppet2 just dropped
Hahaha, yes I took a huge amount of inspiration from them. They're my favourite channel
I just found this channel I sense so much potential these first couple elder scrolls videos are insane

There should be a "make cheese shout".
What a song to start the video. Best of the track
One of my favourites 😃
new sub! looking forwards to more lore! #AussieGang
I appreciate the support!
Oh bro. Dude. You’re gonna be one of those UA-camrs that I look at in a year or so and go “I’m a verdant hipster, I found him before it was cool.”
Am i the only player who saved and redeemed Miraak? Mora is obviously a corrupt entity, so denying him your service and freeing his champion felt like the smarter move lol
Is that even possible without specific mods for it? It's been a while since I've done that dlc but every time i did it, I always had to fight him. I don't remember ever having an option to redeem or even join him despite there being dialogue of him seemingly trying to convince us to.
@@showaker4755i don’t think it is possible without mods
Mora is a Daedric prince so he his intentions are never "good" but Mora is not evil just self serving. Generally speaking his goals rarely have malicious intention but he will remove obstacles in his pursuit of knowledge.
And lose out on being the replacement for Miraak, only not imprisoned in Mora's realm? Plus getting all his stuff signifying your position as top dragon wizard AND the best Daedric Prince chosen one of all time?? Pshhh no way. If Miraak couldn't figure out how to save and redeem himself, which was basically for him to just stop bein a douche, all the while being in the realm of infinite knowledge since the era when dragon priests ruled over Skyrim, eras before the one we are in, dudes not even trying and is choosing to be unredeemable. Lol
I did using mods
I would gladly watch this if not for the fact, that somehow, after at least two years of owning Skyrim SE I have not even been to Solstheim once.
you should give it a try, ur missing out on a lot
@@Verdant1 I know, I wanted to do it after I finish the civil war, which I have yet to finish for the first time too. This one I could have done 5 years ago already to be honest.
It just so happens that I have finished the civil war questline so I think it's time for me to plunder Solstheim
@@dinobanan3211Solstheim is the best part of Skyrim imo, it's what got me try Morrowind 👍😁
@@TheDJGrandPa I really have to speed-run the Solstheim main quest. I want to watch this video already. I wonder if I need a DLC to visit Solstheim in ESO.
