Road Work Ahead! We do alot of concrete work. Highway patching, new roads, curb, sidewalk, parking lots. Road construction is our job.
5 Driveway Approaches in ONE DAY on this Overlay Project!
Today we are completing more driveway approaches and pieces of curb that were not able to be done by the curb machine. We will pour driveway approaches and some small pieces of curb.

Today we will work on replacing driveway approaches and pieces of sidewalk that have already been removed. Some of these driveways are gravel. They will get gravel put back in since the city doesn't want to make them concrete at this time. We will also do some dirt work where we can and fill in the void between the road and the new curb.

Today we are pouring concrete curb and gutter with the Curb Machine. This side of the road takes us a little bit longer due to concrete trucks coming a little wetter slump than we want.

The city, people paying, did not include rebar or mesh in the contract for driveway approaches. So, no, not on this job.

nice team I did road work for 50 years and never did I see someone pour a city walk with a power buggy, good call. a front discharge truck would have made the pour. or a half of a shoot on that rear discharge, or mounds of gravel on curb, or wait for cure time to drive on. but it's done. expansion felt should have gone in that one new city approach butting old city sidewalk, it has a joint in the old city sidewalk. at least our inspector would have made us put one in. nice curb machine. hammer down daylight is burring.
We just bought this buggy, it works good for this. Next time i'm just driving in and out of the sidewalk though lol. They just wanted expansion on bottom side against curb. Thanks for watching! Will be uploading more often.

Thanks for watching! This was over 1,000 ft of curb. The other side we were done by 1pm. This side had a few hiccups and took us 3 hours longer
10 people standing around holding up shovels brooms whatever getting paid to well stand there!🤔
It was some of these guys first time being around a curb machine and they didn't know what to do. We are usually more spread out and short help. Really do not need as much laborers when pouring out with curb machine. Only one day of running it so to give people a full week they were brought in.

Great question! It's concrete cure. Concrete gains strength over time as it cures. Can help increase its resistance to weathering and enhances the lifespan of the concrete. I'll have to do a video on concrete curing now lol
That curd maker machine is going the exact same speed as the NASA space crawler launch pad.

🤣🤣 No wire mesh or any type of reinforcement what so ever , good luck with that. YOU'LL be PAYING ANOTHER COMPANY to replace this driveway within the next 5 to 8 years.
This is an approach we are doing for the city. They do not want mesh put in, nor do they want a better subgrade put in. We put in wire mesh and fiber when contract calls for it.
